So sad for the victim and the families involved... can't imagine either situation: finding out my daughter/sister/friend was raped by twelve men or that my son/brother/friend agreed to gang rape a 19-year old

The poor poor girl

How can men like that feel justified in carrying out such an act?? I just don't get it. Obviously rape culture exists but how could not one out of those twelve men not realise what they were doing was terribly wrong?

They probably got turned on exactly because they knew it was terribly wrong. And they could get away with doing something terribly wrong.

But even the latest developments leave many questions unanswered. It is unclear if the accuser filed a new complaint, it is still unknown how many people had intercourse with her and whether it was consensual, and why some of the teens had deleted videos from the night of the incident.

 

During his initial interrogation, the main suspect denied all connections to the complainant, but later went on to admit that they had had sexual relations twice before the incident.

According to his version of events, he and another friend had consensual sex with the complainant that night, and no one else was in the room. He changed his story again later on, saying that a few friends entered the room, but only watched.

something is still fishy. she could’ve be coerced by lawyers to change her story. the suspects did too AND deleted their videos.
