JusKeepBreathin 19,311
An unnamed individual, who seems to be a former campaign staffer, filed a charge with the National Labor Relations Board Monday alleging that the campaign committed labor law violations, including terminating employees for union activities. The redacted NLRB charge posted by Bloomberg Law lists seven instances of unfair labor practices, including three accusations that Sanders' campaign fired employees for joining or supporting a union and one accusation that the campaign interrogated employees about union activities. NLRB investigators and attorneys must now evaluate the charge to determine if it has merit and issue a complaint. Sanders has frequently expressed strong public support for unions, but this is not the campaign's first labor dispute. Just a day after this charge was filed, the campaign resolved a long-running dispute with its union, which was attempting to secure a salary increase for field organizers equivalent to at least a $15 an hour wage. "I respect workers rights and I respect the union movement," Sanders said in a CNN interview Tuesday about the salary dispute. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/25/former-bernie-sanders-staffer-alleges-retaliation-for-union-activities.html "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." -Martin Luther King Jr.

Reginald 13,841
They tried to take him ~dowwwwwn~ But he didn't have any locker room banter No racist tweets No rapist tweets No deleted emails Or war crimes No obstruction of justice Or money laundering He's not a cop, either (and never was) This is honestly not a scandal, especially compared to most of the other big political figures in the past few years. Sounds like poor managemenr of staff, by someone who reports to someone who he hired.

A former cop > an out of touch hippie who has yet to show he has a real plan to achieve his (admittedly great) goals. I mean I like Bernie, sure, but if the cop thing was a dig at Harris I have ZERO doubt in my mind that she'd be a more effective president than Bernie I'd rather give my vote to someone who will take us five steps forward than someone who will preach about being ten steps behind where we should be while standing still. Like I said in 2016 though, please let him prove me wrong OT: I don't see this as a scandal tbh. Does it make Bernie a hypocrite? Yeah, a little bit, but if this is the most dirt his opponents can get on him then he's probably one of the cleanest politicians to run in ages Whimsical bitch

Mainly light jest, but cops / the police state are a big source of anxiety and distrust for me, no matter who it is in the uniform On topic though, I'm glad she doesn't have any real scandals either. Hopefully whoever is chosen as the candidate has a clean, unclockable history

HorusRa2 5,005
Let’s see how this plays out. There’s a zero chance that the violation was driven by Bernie. Rather, it’s going to be something done by one of the staffers. How Bernie responds to this will be important even though the media are going to use this as an opportunity to smear him as if he’s the person who retaliated.
