Ryusei 59,944
Now tell that to the hundreds of millions of amazon customers. Unless a better service comes along nothing will change there, that‘s just cruel reality. That is not to defend amazon‘s conditions of course Musery
G U C C I 5,171
“These groups are conjuring misinformation to work in their favor, when in fact we already offer the things they purport to be their cause — industry leading pay of $15 per hour, benefits, and a safe workplace for our employees,” Amazon said in a statement. “If these groups — unions and the politicians they rally to their cause — really want to help the American worker, we encourage them to focus their energy on passing legislation for an increase in the federal minimum wage, because $7.25 is too low.” Amazon Workers Prime Day Strikes People on here and other social platforms are so quick to jump on the bandwagon for human rights without knowing the facts. Amazon pays its employees minimum wage. Its a minimum wage job when you apply with basic benefits if you want more then apply else where. If you think the wage is unfair then take your concerns to the only people who can change that and its the federal government. Amazon has not done anything wrong just because these people are striking for more pay. This company has an exclusive for her pre-order only! We don't know if they will then be placed in stores like Ulta or Sephora. This was a smart business move and for millions of people like myself, who are prime members, her company will benefit greatly because she launched on prime day. Good for her for taking advantage of this and being strategic with her roll out. Every major company has flaws and to say she isn't aware of whats going on with this one is ridiculous. She has tons of people involved in this deal and her name is one the line. They researched it.

This isn't just about pay but clearly about the conditions the workers are in, workers who are usually so poor they will put up with such terrible working conditions becuase they are so desperate for the money

Reality 65,768
I'm sorry, but I find things like this to be extremely hypocritical. If people want to complain about Amazon, then first stop buying things from Amazon. I am not defending Amazon's working conditions because of course those kinds of conditions are unsafe and unethical, but at the same time, this just isn't a "Gaga" thing. How do people think they get their same day delivery packages? People seem to care enough about the workers to call out Amazon for what they're doing, but then also probably buy a lot of their stuff from there too. 🃏🖤👹

This isn't just about pay but clearly about the conditions the workers are in, workers who are usually so poor they will put up with such terrible working conditions becuase they are so desperate for the money It is about the money though. The impossible demands of the job, the physical stress due to the high paced assembly line is no different (actually a lot easier) then at a car manufacturer warehouse. They knew the demands when they took the jobs, just because they don't like them doesn't mean the company is in the wrong. Those people wouldn't be complaining if the jobs paid a lot more. As shitty as minimum wage is though that's all the company is required to pay for the type of job they are offering. Strike in Minnesota "Many of the Amazon workers in Shakopee are Muslim immigrants from East Africa, and some of their demands are for prayer spaces, and easing speed and rates during Ramadan when employees are fasting." The concerns in Minnesota are mainly over their religious beliefs and having those accommodated. Sure that's nice but not a requirement of the company to uphold. Again they knew the job before they took it. And if there were THAT many physical injuries resulting from the factory equipment or job performance lawyers would be all over it because a company that big would pay out before going to court. None of which should have anything to do with Gaga or any other individual who does business through Amazon.

We rely on amazon.es/co.uk/de/fr. Does that mean we are not supposed to care about workers because they are british and not portuguese? Of course not. LGMonster95 13,704
This "problem" is on Amazon not on Gaga. She's just selling her product there because they are the biggest online selling market. A lot of markets has this kind of problems including Apple, Walmart, Nike and so on
