"The songs not that good, it has low streaming numbers, it's forgettable, it's corny, it's basic, it's amateurish ..."

The Emmy Award winning and Oscar nominated song, written by one of our generations greatest song writers, a songwriter Gaga constitutes to work with on other projects, isn't that great? Ya'll are using streaming numbers to measure the value in a song that Gaga used to publicly address her own history of sexual abuse?

Insulting RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Diane Warren, and Till It Happens To You doesn't make Gaga look better. She was thirsty for an Oscar. She got one when she deserved it. We have to be able to take the stan goggles off sometimes.

Do you diane is hungry for an oscar or gaga this no hate or anything im just not sure who you are referring to

I think they both were very hungry for an Oscar win, and they both thought the other person was their ticket to winning. Gaga had the star power, and Diane had the history with the Academy. So Diane allowed Gaga to take a little more credit than was probably due, and in turn Gaga would get her an Oscar. It just didn't work out.

But, regardless of who wrote it, it's a song that clearly meant a great deal to Gaga. So for fans to belittle it is odd.

So most of the conversation is becoming hostile against each other and rude towards gaga.

Locking this for now.

Not bothered, it's still one of my favorites in Gaga's discography.

I listened to this podcast the other day and I thought it was sketch, especially after all that drama about if Gaga was getting s credit just so she could win an Oscar. But maybe she was sketch because she knew about this drama and was trying to figure out a diplomatic way to answer the question?

Based on other podcasts I’ve listened to, I wonder how easy it is to get a writing credit on pop songs.

I thought as much. I don't particularly like the song tbh and it's forgettable to me. I appreciate it's message and what it stands for though, so I'm not ignorant to that, the song just isn't my cup of tea.

I'm glad that Gaga didn't win anything with this.

After reading the replies I feel like an outsider for genuinely loving the song. :green:

Don't. You love the song great. It has a powerful, important message. It's not a song that i listen, but now and then i go on YouTube to watch Gaga preforming the song.

It's not only about the message for me. It's a good song that I had on repeat and still enjoy when it comes on suffle. I love the melody (especially in the bridge), the strings, the drums etc in the song. It's one of my favorites.

I'm sure a lot more people people love the song too.  Many people disliked Joanne i happen to love the album. We love what we love,  and the song is good actually.

I'm so sick of this topic tbh. Gaga co-wrote Til It Happens To You PERIOD. She never claimed to be the main writer of the song, and lyrically-wise the only lyric she probably wrote was "til' you're at the end of your rope" which is more than enough to give her credit for songwriting, whether Linda Perry and some little monstrosities like it or not.

Also, considering the demo sent to Linda Perry was originally sung by Diane Warren, the song was probably completely different melodically speaking. Do you all really think Diane Warren was hitting the notes Gaga hits in the final version? With such a hard note at the end of the bridge? Obviously not, because that was probably Gaga's addition.

So, not only she wrote a lyric, she also made it her own style, and because of that, she deserves writing credits.

Also, Ru and the other girl are miserable for trying to create drama over a solved issue that happened years ago.

it is said that demo was completely different melodically. It was more peaceful and Gaga didn't like it cause she thought it was showing more of a 'victim' side of a song and she wanted to make it a 'survivor' like. and so she did.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

I won't be surprised to see Mark talking about LG didn't write Shallow :what:

he already said that gaga is the genius behind shallow and I think he said that shallow was pretty much finished when Gaga showed it to him

The thing with Gaga is she’s so talented and she writes all her own songs so when someone sees she didn’t write every word or a sentence on each line they act like she has no talent etc. Some people don’t even write or produce their own music yet they aren’t slammed as untalented.

Welcome to GagaDaily, it looks like things just got messgendary.
