I didn’t add ASIB for Pop Vocal Album because it fits better at the category “Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media”. The albums were picked from the 4th quarter of the last year up to the 2nd/3rd quarter. If this data goes correct, it might turn out to be the year of Ariana and Billie. Also I found these songs to be pretty popular and we all know Grammys’ integrity for critical acclaimed albums has decreased over the years and Lover is a possible bonus due to the release date being closest to the deadline, which is 8 days. Don’t drag me but BTS is there due to the commercial success of Boy With Luv and BTS already has been “nominated” before. The only lock so far is thank u, next by Ariana Grande. I’d say Madame X had been the best thus far, it was meaningful, eclectic, had a fully-realized concept and artistry, and you can at least say she tried to do something different. If it wasn’t for the heavily-processed vocals it would be a perfect album. Everything else has just been meh. Ariana and Billie Eilish delivered good stuff but I really can’t think of anything else. Gaga, Adele, Bey, and Riri can’t come fast enough . I’m scared for the state of the pop genre. EDIT: I don’t think Madonna will get a nom tho. I found that Grammys have been ageist throughout the years, but they are kind of you know evolving from that state considering that Cher, Diana and Dolly have been given a recognition from the past years. Most movies nominated are far from box-office hits and blockbusters. Many are even limited releases. But the Grammys value the charts. Like Shape of You winning over Kelly, Gaga and Kesha. Taylor is yet to release her album, c’mon you can’t determine Taylor’s albums with her singles, I mean look at I Knew You Were Trouble and look how Red became.
