I was shooketh at first only because I was so accustomed to the 1989 Ariel, but now I am pretty excited to see a new story. 

Trending this is wrong and hurtful. Even if you don't agree with the casting, she is an incredibly talented girl who earned the role. I think they should all give her a chance.

I grew up watching Brandi's version of Cinderella, which was also from Disney. It's the Rodger and Hammerstein's version and Whitney Houston was the god mother and the prince was hispanic/asian and they were all great in it.

I dont see whats wrong with Ariel being black since this has been done before with a disney princess. In all honesty, we had like 3 sleeping beauty movies back to back from different studios. Someone will just make a new cinderella after 5 years.
