What's your solution? We get rid of law enforcement agencies right? Because apparently most people joining them are racist people according to you. Let's see how safe the U.S will become when we do that.

It’s almost as if you’re inadvertently supporting my points :vegas:

also, did you even read that article? Over a thousand law enforcement officers from one area isn’t enough for you?

With free education, housing, food and medical care; no one would need law enforcement. Society as a whole would be governed by the people, for the people. I mean, people commit crimes for reasons like stealing something they want/need, more money, revenge, etc. With a fully fulfilled society, we wouldn’t need capitalist bootlickers around to arrest people. No one would need to commit a crime.

But I mean, this could never happen, especially in the USA. There’s too many people like you who worship the idea of an authoritarian police state.

Anyway, I’ll be here. Quote away

You guys oppose trump, but you have the same trait with him: total disregard for the truth. Truth doesn't matter.

If something sounds great and fits your narrative, you don't care if it's substantiated or not, you take it for a fact.

I would like to see any proof that these are actual border patrol agents. If a journalist had access to this group, why not actually show the profiles and names, so that those accounts can be verified?

Ppl wanting to fit their native happens in all political spectrums and trying to call ppl out on it is useless cause they want to believe what they wanna believe :awkney:

Now it's very very possible that those Facebook groups are legit but it's also possible as u said that it's a group trying to make them look bad

It's not inconceivable given how easy it is in the social media era to fake accounts and try to sway public opinion

The fact that ppl won't even consider the possibility proves ur point

I learned a long time ago Liberals and Conservatives as exact the same in many retrospects. Both stubborn and don't respect the other point of view and both think they are right on everything

It's called being human

When someone talks like that I don't bother trying to reason with ppl anymore regardless of where in the political spectrum they fall :awkney:

Lmao. This is exactly why people become border patrol agents/police officers.

My ex was in the military and wanted to join the police force: he also said all Arabic/middle eastern looking people need to get out of Canada (my ex wasn’t even from Canada himself, he was from the UK)

An ex-friend was an airport security officer. He openly told me he knows he’s racist, and if he could deny people of color (Indians, blacks, aboriginals, etc), he would.

Then, another guy I saw for like 2 weeks was an RCMP officer. He said that he would easily shoot any brown colored person (ive never ended a relationship so fast like this one)

Lastly, the mentality of people joining areas of justice, such as border patrol, policing, security, etc; are all out there to ‘protect’ what they think is of value. In this case, the value at stake is white-English speaking USA, and their so called “freedom”.

I mean, I could provide infinite examples of how people who work in these areas display acts of casual racism on a daily basis, but this article should suffice: https://www.google.ie/amp/s/www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/police-officers-nationwide-alleged-racist-violent-social-media-posts-plain-view-project-2019-06-07/

Basically, thousands of law enforcement officers (in Dallas, Texas alone) Facebook posts have been flagged for containing hate speech like content.

As much as I agree with you that a lot of people in law enforcement share those beliefs, we are not all like that. I did not join my area of law enforcement to protect people but to help people in need and I believe that when helping those in need, it protects society in general. While racism is definitly prevelant in that line of work, maybe more than other places, officers of the law are not all bad and some of us are really out there fighting the good fight, at least in canada for me lol. Not all hope is lost

This is what we call anarchy.

Really? Let's get rid of all law enforcement and let people take charge of defending themselves.

Ironically, you agree with republicans and conservatives, because they also believe that average citizens are competent enough to own guns, a tool that is used to efficiently and easily end the life of other citizens, which is a notion that I wholeheartedly disagree with.

I don't trust that most citizens will be good citizens, even with good education and housing. That's such a naive belief.

Just look at some of the richest people. They've gone to the best universities. They live in the best areas, and still some of them commit crimes and sometimes more egregious than the average citizen commits.

Some people always love to talk about the negative instances within law enforcement, but positive behavior almost never gets a mention. Watch this following video, and look how some law enforcement officers literally put their lives on the line to try NOT to kill this person. Continue telling me that people actually want to sign up for that type of stressful situations to be able to suppress minorities. Mind you the aggressor in this case is also from a minority, and you can tell how one of the cops even risked his life to not shoot him. Bottom line is, stop putting ALL people under the same umbrella. It's ignorant:
