LateToCult 42,009
Ugh, bear with me guys. WaPo was being annoying and wouldn’t let me access their article without subscribing so here’s a summary from Politico. When asked who they would vote for in the Dem primary or caucus: Biden 25 Sanders 18 Harris 9 Warren 9 Buttigieg 3 Same question but after having a list of the candidates read to them: Biden 29 Sanders 23 Harris 11 Warren 11 Buttigieg 4 Castro 4 Klobuchar 2 O’Rourke 2 Theoretically five candidates have now met the requirement of polling at 2% (minimum) in four national polls to continue on to the next debate stage. Those are Biden, Sanders, Harris, Warren, and Buttigieg. It’s not clear what polls will be counted yet. In an Iowa poll Harris shot up to second place and is in “striking distance” of Biden. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.politico.com/amp/story/2019/07/03/harris-warren-2020-dems-poll-1396656
melodichard 3,769
Can’t wait until the debate stage is much smaller. There were way too many candidates on stage for the first two.

They both have a chance at pulling in some Trump voters though: Trump appealed to the white working class voters, and Sanders definitely appeals to the working class at large. There were also some people who voted for Obama that also voted for Trump, maybe they'll be inclined to vote for Biden too. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢. Morphine Prince 109,730
ABC/WaPo are usually very good polls. I think this is much more accurate than the polls saying Kamala is in second place and Bernie dropped to 4th. It's just not realistic since Biden and Bernie both are the most popular. Biden will probably keep slipping and the race will become much more tighter. The 5 mentioned should be the only ones running honestly. Everyone else has failed to poll any higher. MAYBE Castro, and Booker have some chance to get support. There's just way too many people.... the second debate has 14 candidates already confirmed. I wouldn’t mind seeing Klobuchar and Williamson making it to the next stage. I like a lil crazy.

Othon 34,299
The polls have been all over the place after the debate. Either way, the takeaway seems to be that Warren and Harris got a bump, Sanders has held steady where he was, and Biden is slipping. Which makes sense given their respective debate performances. Although, the real takeaway is the fact that we're still a year from any actual primary elections and that obsessing over polling is largely pointless until we're further on down the line. They're important for the debates & actually getting closer to fewer candidates. That way they can finalize primaries to like 5 candidates instead of 20 This kitten over here (meow)
