Its just kind of odd to me that people are acting as if shes not 2012-era tumblr personified into a pop act which is fine with me. I feel a little been there done that with her visual aesthetic but I can understand how a lot of people feel that they havent been exposed to what shes serving before. Its not very original but I get that people will find it to be.

I will say its her personal fashion sense that annoys me though, its like instagram white girl streetwear aesthetics threw up all over her mixed with that whole "im not like the other girls, I wear baggy camo pants and listen to rap" attitude as if she doesnt have a cara delevinge face and grew up gentrifying highland park with her rich family...like...whatever

After giving her a chance, I’m cool with her, but I’m not necessarily a fan. Regardless, she’s not the real problem here.

I don’t trust anything Elton John says. First, he said back in 2013 that Miley was on her way to having a mental breakdown (which never happened). Second, he said ARTPOP wasn’t a good album when that record alone was far better than anything his musically unadventurous ass ever made. Three, he said Joanne was coming out in 2017 when everyone else said it was coming out in 2016, and it did.

But most offensive of all, he has made several sexist and disparaging remarks towards Madonna for decades. I find it pitiful when people undermine Madge’s capabilities because of her provocative image. Madonna absolutely has musical talent, and she’s far more daring than many male pop singers are/were, including Elton John. Yes, she’s not very humble or gracious, and yes, she is mean. It definitely doesn’t kill you to be nice. However, she has worked very hard for everything she has and I respect her as an artist. Elton needs to get a grip on reality. Why praise Billie Eilish when Madonna has delivered even better artistic works?

Literally same, I dismissed her and even made a few shady comments here on ggd before even giving her a chance a few months back. Now I’m a big fan of the music...Especially considering that her and her brother made it all themselves with no huge production team mostly in their house...It’s undeniably impressive
