So they aren't allowed to refuse to do gay advertising when it's not necessary in their products?  the backlash is really extra and stupid, if you're throwing your money like that... they didn't say any bad thing against the comunnity + it doesn't affect anything

There is a difference between not including a gay couple in one particular ad campaign and writing all of them off with "we don't do gay at Nivea" though.

I’m so disappointed because I love the smell of their products, but I’m at least glad I haven’t bought anything nivea in a while. Guess I’ll just continue not buying.

1. They refused to do “gay advertising” so the LGBT community is refusing to purchase their goods. Why we have to buy their products if they think doing CSR about LGBT right is “throwing their money”? Isn’t that is throwing money for us? Do the rules of capitalism only works for an enterprise? I guess not.

 

2. And also “we don’t do gay” is not the right way to say “LGBT community is not our main target customer”, and we don’t need to justify their mistake.
