Sweden: Outdoor smoking ban comes into force tomorrow July 1st

Then designate smoking areas (like in German train stations/ airports). 

If they want to get rid of second hand smoke, thats their way to go.

Personally I'm a smoker, but I avoid smoking in bus stations/cafés/ restaurants etc... simply because I know many people don't like it. 

I normally smoke outside of school (we have designated areas) or at home. 

When I'm with my smoker friends it's no problem, but with the others, I really avoid smoking in front of them, or if I really want to, I just stay a few meters away from them. 

But tbh, second hand smoke ain't gonna kill you with today's laws. 20 years ago you could smoke freely in high schools, hospitals, restaurants...  practically everywhere. That's when it was a problem. 

I stopped smoking for a while, and I can tell you that tobacco smoke wasn't a problem for me. 

Tbh I barely see people smoking in the streets (and I can say that because finding someone with a lightner is challenging).

You can try to convince yourself till the end of times, but don't expect others to second or not oppose such a weak and selfish behaviour 

Second hand smoke is dangerous when you live with a frequent smoker who smokes inside. If you do not live with a smoker there is no way you would be exposed to second hand smoke so often that it could be directly linked to any type of disease.

So tell me, how could a child prevent to live in such an environment? Following your logic, it's better to let him potentially catch a mortal disease than to put regulations on people's selfishness and foolery. 

I wonder if you feel the same way about obligatory vaccinations then, since laws that prevent death and diseases clearly make you uncomfortable and seem to be a restriction on human freedom

I never said i was against banning smoking inside homes where kids live.  I personnally find it disgusting people who smoke inside. What i am talking about is people smoking in designated areas outside of building and people complaining about second hand smoke when its litterally 2 seconds of their day walking past a smoker.

I don't smoke myself but I wouldn't support banning smoking either because I don't want my country to into some SJW version of North Korea. Bans like this are pure totalitarianism. Alcohol probably causes much more troubles than tobacco, should alcohol be banned as well? Just because some people don't like something doesn't mean it should be banned.

There are many places in America where you can’t smoke in restaurants period. There isn’t a smoker section either. You go outside.

I’m confused how this ban is akin to abortion though...
