Favourite Madonna decade?

Madonna has been around for 40 years as of 2022, making her debut with the single "Everybody" in 1982.
She went on to release a string of game-changing albums and singles, becoming the blueprint for female pop stars.
Assuming that Madame X is her final album this decade, I think it's time we talk about which decade had our favourite Madonna albums, eras, and other things as such.

I was born in 2003, so my first memories of Madonna are hearing Hung Up & Sorry on the radio, and watching the 4 Minutes video in my living room, loving it. That said, being a teenager in the 2010s means that this decade's Madonna is most to my tastes. Rebel Heart is my most streamed Madonna album, while Girl Gone Wild is my most streamed Madge song. Some of my other favourites are Gang Bang, Holy Water, Hold Tight, and Faz Gostoso.
The 2000s obviously bring an air of nostalgia, though besides Hard Candy, I mainly listen to the singles. Hollywood is one of my favourite songs, but the deeper album cuts for that decade just weren't for me. My favourite '00s madonna songs are She's Not Me, Miles Away, Hung Up, Hollywood, Get Together, and Celebration.
The '90s were a controversial decade for Madonna (although, which one wasn't? :laughga:), but it brought me personally the least streamable material. The only songs I really listen to of her's from the 90s are Deeper And Deeper and Waiting tbh.
The 80s probably brought Madge the most hits, and the most pop bops. I love Into The Groove, Holiday, Oh Father, Causing A Commotion, Like A Prayer, and Dear Jessie.
So, for me personally, I'd say 2010s>2000s>80s>90s.
What about y'all?

90s and it isn't even close for me :air: She really could do no wrong as an artist then. Her output was on another plane of existence from most pop girls.

Hmm.

My favorite period is, like, late 80s to Girlie Show but since I can't say that, I'm gonna go with the 2000s tbh. She really mastered her craft there in terms of sitting comfortable and just releasing quality non-stop and we got four absolutely sickening tours

Personally Erotica is my fav Madonna album. Bedtime Stories and Ray of Light are both flawless too though.

Exactly 90s.

Erotica - Bedtime Stories - Ray of Light remains one of the most amazing string of albums I've ever heard. Even the progression makes every sense.

I was so impressed by it. The 80s pop fever was gone, but Madonna was able to deliver quality and remain relevant. Erotica and Bedtime Stories were not that successful, but Erotica remains incredibly impactful and then she was able to reach the top once again with Ray of Light :tony: but nevermind the commercial performance, she was still delivering GREAT music.

The 90s is amazing, especially the Erotica era but thanks to AL and COADF I gotta say the 2000s.

According to the poll in the Madonna thread it's a head-to-head race between those two. Cast your vote if you haven't already :vegas:

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

I like the 90's. I prefer Bedtime Stories over Erotica, although both are among her best. BS is a natural progression from Erotica. Ray of light is nice, and contains some great songs. Just isn't as weird in my opinion.

90s (artistic peak) and 2000's. :firega:

The 1-2-3 punch of Erotica, Bedtime, Ray.
