I allowed one of my villagers to move out and bought 50x NMTs to hopefully land on a villager I wanted, but some oompa loompa body ass bitch named Bertha is moving into the empty plot. No, I did 10 islands and then I got bored finding trash villagers and then later on I happened to walk past the plot and saw it was sold. You should have to approve the resident moving in. This isn't like past Animal Crossing games where your town is presumably attached to a larger piece of land.
