Michelle Treacy is a Real-Life Hannah Montana

For context, Michelle Treacy is a Sony Music Canada artist who recently won on Canada's competition show The Launch. She was brought on stage during ArtRave to sing with Gaga. That was a couple years before she signed with Sony.

She's since released multiple singles (unfortunately they only played in Canada) as well as an EP which I still listen to weekly. I got to spend the holidays with Michelle at her family's home at the end of 2014, and this girl's talent and songwriting ability has not been truly appreciated by Sony or whoever she's working with now. The songs she played for me then were so powerful. Her official releases are nice, but I expect so much more in her future if she finds a way to showcase her true talent and artistry. Okay, dome bragging. Here are my favorite releases:

Listen I'm all for staying grounded, but if she's well off/rich from music she should donate her Miley Cyrus paycheck to charity or something because she's taking a good job from someone not in a position to work for fun.

I don't think it's fair to say this. if she is working and doing the same job as any regular person, I don't think she should be denied of that position. I know many rich people who has owns vineyards and has their own winery and still work minimum wage in a grocery store because they don't want to stay idle.

I don't think she's well off or rich. When I stayed with her, she lived in a three bedroom home no bigger than the house I lived in growing up. Being signed doesn't usually equal having money until a couple albums are out or your first album blows up like Gaga's did. Michelle has yet to release a full album, she performs around Canada but not in big concert areas, and I don't think there's even a cash prize for winning The Launch. If I'm not mistaken, it's a weekly competition, not an annual one like American Idol.

I'm not saying she be denied of the position, just that she be courteous with the compensation.
