Fatigay 21,229
To remember: There are federal elections coming this Fall. The campaign will start in August. Climate change has been identified as the #1 topic that people would pay attention to to help them decide who to vote for. It’s a known tactic to promise the most amazing things right before elections are due, in hope to maintain power. So if they promise this, maybe they will honour it if they are re-elected. If they lose, they will say “oh but look how they do nothing! We promised great things, too bad we aren’t here anymore”

Impossible cost of living in Toronto and Vancouver from severe housing shortage says hi When 110 year old townhouses in my grandparents street are selling for $1.4M to $1.6M ($1M to $1.1M USD) and wages only keep up with inflation while the rich get real raises it's no utopia Did u know the homeless rate in Canada now surpasses that of the US??? More social assistance and higher minimum wages aren't enough to offset the explosive cost of housing in this country especially Toronto and Vancouver Metro which is 1/4 of the population right there
