I liked how that nutcracker melody appeared out of nowhere like a big surprise. But the song is an overall mess, it's like it's full of too many ideas that don't work together. But it's far from a masterpiece, she loses herself and her concepts into its own complexity. But Dark Ballet makes me think she should just released the album at once and not song by song, because clearly Madame X is a cohesive work. Definitely remind me of her older work, but remaining new at the same time. If she can continue to surprise me with songs like Medellin and this one, I am excited for her future projects as well.
