Yes, it felt like Roar vs. Applause, but with Gaga on the winning side:firega:

1 week vs 8 weeks at #1

So, winning side you were saying... :poot:

Don't you think maybe they are the same thing? Love and attention?

That blatant pandering, I can't :ladyhaha:

She went from barely speaking on LGBT rights to becoming a full-blown GaY qUEEN

So when she is silent on these kind of issues that's not okay and she is a "republican", but when she is speaking about it, making songs and videos with the LGBT community then it's pandering! You guys can never be satisfied...

She is actually doing something to help our community and all you do is complain

She makes a U-turn when it benefits her career without any consistency.

During the Red era, when Born This Way was already a chart-topping classic that was preceded by a cute album track Boys Boys Boys that was attached to the biggest era  ever of this millennium, she claimed that she wouldn't voice her opinion on political issues. Why? She thought it would hurt her sales.

Now that the tables have turned and every major corporation celebrates Pride Month (which is actually very good for the community),  Taylor suddenly turns into a political activist to make headlines and sell music.

There is nothing brave about this. She simply capitalized on this opportunity.

Gaga experienced IMMENSE criticism for pandering to the gay community, but it felt genuine and not forced (since it actually hurt her career from the get-go). For example, radio stations were reluctant to play Just Dance at some points because of Gaga's close ties to the LGBT community.

I'm fine with Swift being an ally, but she's clearly positioning herself as the next gAy QuEEn.

Well-put. It’s a very calculated business move, although it’s a good thing
