According to this report, the 34-year-old's choosing to lay off the world tours, which she says takes a toll on her music, for a long while.

She said: "I don’t really want to go on tour right now. I can’t make a record while I’m on the road because one thing suffers."

"I feel a little bit like 2008 was a time, and now 2019 is a totally different time, and all of the change that has happened in between that, it’s a totally different playing field."

"I mean, you have to rewire and relearn. I would say that, as an observer, and a big fan of music, there are fewer characters. Lots of songs come out, but fewer characters and personalities."

According to The Sun, the “Teenage Dream” singer will be releasing upcoming songs whenever she feels the time is right. She recently discussed these new changes with reporter Howell Davies during a London visit.

With Never Really Over receiving such warm reaction from critics and audience alike, it seemed like people were starting to pay attention and interest to her again as a singer and performer. However, Katy doesn't seem to have enough material to back up the era, she might drop a couple of more singles, but without a full length studio album, isn't it a bit of a waste of opportunity that's happening here?

It’s not like she’s got much to lose anyways. You don’t get the GP behind you with a single song, it takes time.

I feel if she serves another single moment in July and another in late August with the album out end of October then that would be a good route

Robyn was able to successfully tour and release music for a year during her Body Talk era. The music and the tour did not suffer at all and I must say that was an amazing time to be a Robyn stan.

Pink flamingos always fascinated me.

She has never been a touring force and now that she struggled to have hits the demand must be even lower. This is the reason she won't get back touring too soon.

But no, I don't think she is killing her momentum. Never Really Over is the best song and video she could release in order to have another hit. She did her part, now it's on the GP.

That's what I thought, but she doesn't seem to have enough songs for an album, neither does she have a cohesive direction in mind.

Never been a touring force? Her Prismatic World Tour grossed over 200 mill and reached 5 continents!

Oh, you are right. I guess she was a touring force at particular point and you also have to keep in mind she did that because her songs were massive that year. The Witness tour grossed 28.1 million so there's where she picks up from.

It grossed more than that. We don't have the full data because they didn't disclose it.

That would be great.  I hope she tours again.

I live outside the space time continuum.

She was never an album artist anyway, I think that releasing only singles for a while and then make it an EP or a full compilation album would be better for her..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
