I was researching Stonewall a while ago and the information available is somewhat vague and contradictory. It's so cool to actually hear from participants of the night. I love Marsha and what she has done, but I find it irritating how she is so widely believed to have started the movement when she herself has talked about how she wasn't even there when the riot started. It’s incredible how much misinformation is spread (with good intentions, usually) on social media about events that happened in the recent past. I’m glad this is out there so people stop reducing Marsha and Silvia to names that they can trot out on social media to seem woke without understanding their actual sacrifice for the movement.
