Self made simply means not to inherit their money from their parents or anyone for that matter. By getting help and support from your family, having a team that works with you, going to good colleges, etc. can still make you self-made as long as you don’t inherit a **** ton of money from your family. It simply means earning your net worth by yourself. And Forbes only feature people who report their assets to them. Gaga likely did not report her assets just like Beyoncé, Madonna and Mariah,etc. Stop trying to diminish Gaga’s hard work and success by ‘but her parents sent her to a good school’ ‘her father paid for her rent for a few months’ ‘but Madonna was in a much more difficult situation’.
