We kept hearing things that indicated LG6 was coming really soon but nothing so far

And possible hints at new material coming like the changed Gaga icons. Were we just reading too much into it?

Did she have LG6 done but scrapped it and started over?

Did maybe ASIB success allow her to delay it and now she figures might as well wait until the new Grammy Deadline so she doesn't have 2 albums competing?

Is she just too tired and her health needs her to slow it down?

Discuss!

I think it could be because she isn’t happy with the final project and is reworking it.

Or when we first saw her in the studio, it was the very beginning of the album, and we’re just being impatient and expecting it to be finished in a day.

I'm an ARTPOP bitch, baby

I think her label doesn't want her to compete with ASIB because there's a good chance it can get an AOTY nomination

Maybe she isn't ready for labor or LG6 doesn't want to come out yet :oprah:

I think Grammys alone are not so valuable to the point that ud base your entire release date based on them especially when there's no guarantee you'll even win

But if it was already pushed back a little for one reason or another (say ASIB success)...

Then maybe they figured might as well wait a couple more months and not compete in the same grammy slot

It feels like she had something going and it got scrapped. I dunno. She doesn't seem happy or inspired right now, I really feel she needs a good solid break to go explore life for a while.

I think she’s waiting for a better time. The success of ASIB made her push it back a little bit cuz she doesn’t want the lead single to clash with Shallow success. Of course Shallow has peaked and everything but I don’t think she’d want to drop it as soon as possible, she’s still planning stuff and is not in a hurry to release it.

This is like the wait between The Fame Monster and Born This Way. The album is most likely done but they probably want to wait a little longer to avoid overexposure. I just don’t understand why fans are so desperate for LG6, I’ve always felt it’s coming after August.

Joanne came out in 2016, that’s 3 years ago and she has done the Superbowl, starred in a movie, recorded a soundtrack and won an Oscar for it, Grammys, BAFTA, Golden Globe, started a residency in Vegas, etc. I think she has done a lot of stuff in the meantime and her plans are to release the album this year, that’s pretty impressive for someone who writes and produces her own music.

After Joanne she rehearsed for the Superbowl, for Coachella, went on a tour, rehearsed for ASIB, wrote & recorded an entire soundtrack, filmed the movie, went on a promo tour, rehearsed for Enigma and for the jazz show, now she's probably working on that project with Haus Laboratories. I don't know if she had some time to really really focus only on LG6 since the Joanne era tbh

But then why let her do all that teasing with the lady Gaga notes a few months ago?

ASIB has been out and successful for a while. They would have known...

Everyone that chose the "not close to being finished" sh*t, is the one being delulu

There's more proof that it was supposed to come last month, than there is for that it wasn't:lana:

More than anything I think she’s waiting to build anticipation and to prevent overexposure. everyone will be desperate for new Gaga music especially now that she’s loved by the gp

I guess Interscope wants to milk ASIB and get maximum profit out of LG6 by releasing it in Q4 and going for a commercial sound. Think of that Max Martin protégé  who seems to be involved in LG6 now.

FYI its clearly the 2nd option. She began making songs with DJWS in late 2017/2018 with no real direction probably and was making stuff for the fun of it hoping to nail down a bunch of demos to work with. It wasnt until around April 2018 (only a year ago) she began working on it properly with a concept in mind and had studio sessions with bloodpop, boys noize, sophie etc

after August 2018, ASIB became the main focus and she shifted into promo and red carpets for that, before the enigma rehearsals leaving not much time to work on the album. Joanne was technicaly made in 6 months, but ONLY because it was her main/only priority at the time. ARTPOP took 2 years to make, BTW at least a year etc

We are DEFINITELY getting it this year, theres no doubt about that. But its clearly always been planned for a Q3/4 2019 release imo. Sure, we got tidbits of info and hints suggesting otherwise, but the fact that Enigma, technically a greatest hits show, was already planned to take place through most of the year is a big enough indicator lol
