She is ... the pop figure I never had. She is ... the politician everybody would want. She is the hit maker that everybody deserves. I don't know a better person. I don't know a better person.

I'm sorry but in my personal opinion, Kate Bush is the greatest female songwriter of all time. Katy is NOT creative. It's conforming pop music, written and produced by a list of different people. NRO, which I love, is still a generic pop bop. Nothing like what Kate did.

Kate, however, writes and produces her own music, often entire albums by herself, in her own time, in her own studio. She's even heavily involved in the mastering stage of her music. Couldn't help but see this as an insult to Kate's legacy. Gaga, St Vincent and Billie Eilish are far more experimental.

Gaga made being weird normal again, ARTPOP was experimental. This post was a joke thread right? ;)

I can't get over the fact that people deny Katy's impact on the counterculture. She literally shaved her head for a cause.

You need to stop. Katy has no (or very little) impact on counterculture. Chained to the Rythm didn’t start any sort of political debate.

Bon Appétit was badly received by the “woke culture” (if I can use such a term) due to its featuring with the notoriously homophobic band that is Migros. I would like to insist on the fact that the “woke culture” is essentially counterculture at its core, since it defends minorities and acknowledges and criticizes the wrong doings of mainstream culture.

As for Swish Swish, its music video was simply a compilation of mainstream memes and Internet buzz. How counterculture can be found in such à vidéo?

And dear, for what cause did she “shave her head” (please that she adopted a shorter hairstyle and did not shave)? You seem to forget the clumsy comments she made about Obama and Britney in relation to her hair.

I don’t know if you are trolling or not, but I am sure of one thing: you bring nothing of value to the table. People tried to educate you and correct your mistakes but you still act like a fool. Nuisance de toute beauté.

(And please be consistent. One second you blame Taylor Swift for talking about politics and the next you praise Katy for her attempt at being woke [which is political by nature].)

She literally CUT HER HAIR. She opened her soul and sang about politics. That's risky and totally experimental.

Not trying to be rude, but I don’t really consider cutting your hair to ALWAYS be “experimental”. People, including popstars, cut their hair all the time. Maybe it’s just my biased opinion, but when Katy did it, it never really felt authentic or experimental. From the posts she made (I think I remember it being a Snapchat or Instagram Story), it just seemed like she was desperately trying to do something extremely off the wall to get people to notice her. Idk. The whole entire Witness era just seemed so uninspired and try-hard.

That being said... :teehee:

OP: She isn’t the new Kate Bush. I can’t get agree with that.

You can use all the french words you want to try to make your comment revolutionary and fancy, but Katy's impact is undeniable. She lead a woke revolution, and she literally endorsed feminism as her lifestyle.

That's why she's the new Katy Bush.

Do we even see Kate Tumbleweed on the charts nowadays? Yet Katy is out there thriving. Talent won.
