Gaga’s voice sounds STRAINED (angry comments warning)

She still sounds amazing in the piano and jazz show in my opinion so I'm not sure why it's like this during Enigma.

It's okay if you don't care for Enigma, but all of you acting like it's universally hated when it's her best reviewed tour/show is ridic. I'm really tired of people acting like their personal negative opinions (which they are entitled to) are shared by everyone.

I looked up other clips, and she sounded fine/normal on three other songs. Yes, she did arguably sound tired in this clip but few stars are 100% the entire show. You'd have more of an argument if she sounded strained the entire night. And even strained, Gaga outsings 95% of the pop girls live while dancing and is arguably the best when she isn't having to dance while singing.

Also, her "natural" voice is fairly deep and raspy and it's become a bit deeper and raspier with age. The Fooled Me Once, Honest Eyes performance from ten odd years ago is a good example that her voice hasn't changed that much. She sings "deeper"  (her more natural voice) nowadays for her non jazz/piano songs vs TFM, but it doesn't mean her voice itself is incapable of those smooth Jazz vocals because she still pulls them out in Vegas. It sounds like OP and some others  just prefer a different style.

Btw why do Vegas fans not record videos? Like I get it, we always preach about how you should enjoy the show and live in the present, but the amount of videos we get from Vegas (each show has 5200 fans attending) is far fewer than those we get from arena shows.

I mean 5200 fans for one night though, I suppose it's not unreasonable to expect at least 20 people who will record it?

I feel like this site needs an age restriction you just can tell that certain members aren't mature enough

They just keep on creating thread after thread or posting posts after posts that other members have already posted just without any thought to it and for the sake of being controversial and hide after "this is just my opinion" when someone post a counter argument and when there are enough counter arguments they create threads about how ggd is too much,  mean, toxic and they don't have free speech and announce that they need a break

And no OP I'm not just talking about you. There are plenty of other members who fit the same description. Its just a phenomenon that I noticed on this site and happens once every other month

if ppl weren't so distracted by the Gaga-Bradley connection to care I think she'd get backlash cuz she did not vocally sound good at all especially by her standards

She sounded fine in a couple other clips from the night. I think she was just tired. Is this at the end of the setlist or right before a break?  I still think she's one of the best live performers, even when she's dancing, and the deeper/raspier voice is probably natural or a different style (people keep saying her voice has changed dramatically, but there are clips of her from '09-10 singing in the same type of deep, raspy voice).

Very few stars are 100% the entire show...even Adele who doesn't dance. I do think Gaga's vocals during the Jazz and Piano are stronger, but that's because she isn't physically exerting herself as much. But the fans who complain about the vocals would probably be upset if she stopped dancing.

*Also, I don't think people realize that the physical effort is probably...a lot...for her even if her choreography isn't as strenuous as it used to be. Autoimmune diseases can take a lot out of you. My friend has R.A. and is a bit younger than Gaga, and while she's in good shape her body just aches like crazy at times and she gets tired very easily—I went hiking with her the other day and her legs started hurting her so badly that we just had to sit down on a hill for a good half hour. I do wish LM would cut Gaga a break on the choreography because of her illness.

well Mariah's vocal decline was because of nodules, I believe, but yeah I fear that Gaga might end up with the same results

The "ahhh ah ah ah ah ahhhh ahhhahhhahahhhhaaaaaAAAAAAAAAH" part was not her best at the Oscars, and she struggled to sing the last "meat the ground", but other than that I thought that her performance was vocally perfect. And it doesn't show any sign of her voice getting tired, since her "aaaah ahh ahh" at the GRAMMYs two weeks earlier was incredible

I thought the part "crash thru the surface, where they can't hurt us" also didn't sound her best

 

Also I thought the Beggining was not that good either tbh

 

I dunno maybe she was having an off day or was nervous and she didn't sound her usual amazing self but I think it definitely was poor vocals in comparison to what we know she's capable of

I think this is in the middle of the second act. She did 3 songs before Telephone and has 3 songs to go before a break.

It probably is because of all the dancing she’s doing but I don’t think she even sounds that bad.

She sounds perfectly fine. She was having a hand microphone and had to dance too which is harder to do. Y'all need to stop giving her so much **** for literally nothing. She's a pro singer ofc she's taking care of her voice. I'm pretty much sure she doesn't care to sound pitch perfect at those Enigma shows which is why sometimes she tries to sing in different ways. I mean watch her Enigma Jazz shows, she literally serves major vocals which just proves what I'm saying. Even during her Enigma shows she still has many moments when she serves vocals. Don't expect her to sound perfect every single time, she ain't a robot, she can get tired too and it also depends on her mood and so many other stuff
