I like it but her less successful ARTPOP era is here

We went from Bangerz / TFM > Younger Now / Joanne > She Is MC / ARTPOP

Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz was her ARTPOP era. It was all experimental and ****.

Younger Now is her Joanne

She is currently on her LG6

The lyrics aren't any less cringey than Ariana or Rihanna songs to be honest.

Despite the cringeyness, I like the song.

But I knew she would get trashed.

It’s a fun drag queen type song.  Drag music could literally be its own genre and it’s pretty cool that Miley is paying tribute like this (or it’s kind of cultural appropriation but I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt)

I’d say it’s appropriative if she hadn’t put Ru so prominently on it. That’s a bit different from her past exploitation lol

River

I like it :air:

I think it's the first trap or like trap song that I like :ladyhaha:

It's so gay I can't:bradley:

It's like it was taken from The Duchess album of Fergie, it's really late 90s-00' song

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

True, I was thinking that.

So I guess she did good! She’s learning!

I hope the next two releases from the final complete album have songs that showcase her vocal ability. I like her fun songs, and it's clear she's having fun with catitude, but I feel like there's room for songs that showcase her vocal talent.

You do if you're Pitchfork lol Their audience are the music snobs who lick the boots of John Mellencamp and Joy Division. Anything that those two acts would likely not like gets treated as trash lol They're honestly the same as any other mainstream reviewer for the most part with the rare exception of hating something others like solely because others like it. But they otherwise tend to praise the same stuff as other places for the same reasons as well.

I will say that I enjoy how particular they go in on disses, though lol and the praising articles tend to be pretty well-written as well.

Yeah I really don't like Cattitude as well :emma: it sounds like an indulgence for drag queens and campy gay hoes I guess :emma: which is fine, she wanted a fun campy song and she did it, but not my thing as well.

But it's still very well produced. And the whole EP is for me her best work so far. Not lyrics-wise, brr, mas actually production-wise. It's perfect.

ARTPOP is Katy Perry compared with Her Dead Petz :huntyga: Born This Way was way more experimental than ARTPOP.
