Artists don’t always sound the same as they get older. Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, etc. People can be so unfair to Gaga at times and expect her to be 100% perfect. I saw her ENIGMA show in January when Bradley Cooper was in the audience and they sang Shallow together. Her vocals were amazing all night. 

And who cares if she’s off key now and then. She’s having fun and smiling. Those count for something.

I think it is a lot about the relationships with the companies. We know Cynthia spoke at the SAP conference on behalf of BTWF, who knows what kinds of deals they made there. Corporate sponsorships are huge for charities. 

And Gaga has an existing relationship with Apple, she’s done some exclusives in the past, maybe they are lining things up for the future. 

Like you said she doesn’t need the money, so I think when she does these things there must be a deeper reason we might never know the details of.

Why are you complaining about her booking these private gigs?   

Years of hard work paid off so that she could get these so-called 'quick' cheques at this point of her career.  It's not like she just sits there counting her coins.

I think the Apple one was part favor. Apple’s been good to her and in bringing enigma all she really had to do was a sound check. It was a bigger deal for them than her and she likes Apple and she had time so why not? No travel involved, very little outside prep work, performing. I get it. I could very easily see that being her mentality.

Come in here and read all these comments. I guess business as usual, here at GGD.  I’m sure the show was great. The key is, was the stream an cringe as SAP? Also, I certainly hope the person streaming wasn’t attacked.

if you watched the jazz Vegas show you can see her voice is not as good as it was back to 2015/6
it's still insanely good but I guess she's just busy and don't have time to keep her voice in the best condition.

Why does she need to warmup? There are rehearsals for that, which don't include the cost of moving all of the equipment and set pieces across to other states.

That's a great point, too. 

Everyone is so focused on "wow she's just doing Enigma," but if you have a deal with a company and are trying to work on future projects with them and all they ask is for you to perform, WHY NOT just do the show you've already rehearsed and performed? 1) It requires the least amount of work. 2) It makes some of audience consider going to Vegas to see the show in all of its glory. 3) It's a first live look at the pop star persona for many of these people, and she needs them to like the pop star to buy the next album. Liking the actress / red carpet celebrity isn't enough. 

Ya'll can hate all you want, and I'll admit I wish there was something different too, but I'm 90% sure she knows what she's doing and has a purpose behind it.

You guys give Gaga literally no leeway to be a human being.  Voices change in day to day performances for many reasons. Somedays singing is easy, some days harder, some days a vocalist just likes to do something different.    People get older and their  voice shifts, or different techniques get preferred, or she feels the need to protect her voice for a reason. Sometimes she sings better than ever but GGD is good at ignoring those times and pumping up the off times. This fan base is Gaga’s worst Critic. Maybe some of you would prefer playback instead.

That's a great point, too.

Exactly! Let’s not forget that this isn’t a festival, it’s a corporate event, essentially. It’s not designed for everyone to see it so why spend countless hours making a one of a kind performance when one such performance already exists in enigma (due to its limited availability and such). So it’s not like she brought this to Coachella, though I feel the need to remind everyone that she brought TMB to Lollapalooza so she has literally done it before and no one batted an eye. Why? Because she still gives it everything.

Apple probably paid specifically for Enigma.  

And her band and dancers need checks too.  These shows arent just to line Gaga’s pockets, a lot of others are dependent on performing and they aren’t making anywhere near what Gaga does per show.
