Honestly, I noticed her vocal decline too and it's quite worrying. During Egnima, she really strained and pitchy even compare to her BTWB days where she had a much busier schedule, harder choreography. The  Oscar performance was amazing emotionally but clearly showed her struggle to stay on pitch and hit high notes. If you search for reaction from vocal coach you can see their surprise with her vocal, and not in a good way. Gaga has always focused on emotion rather than technique but you can't deny a problem that is clearly there. I don't care about success, I just want her to be well and healthy and maintain her artistry so seeing this make me sad, especially after her vocal peak of C2C and JWT.

Or maybe you need to clear your ears, watch how she sings the entire last chorus. Also she never sang the "ahhh" like in the movie most likely to not sound like Ally but more like Gaga (more aggresive). The performance was still great

For a person who claims to sound as good as Gaga on her songs, you seem to know nothing about her vocals. Her aaahhh was not flat at all. Her high note, was because of a placement error, or she closed up her cords too much that resulted in a vocal crack.

Get educated and come back. Thanks for your input.

I'm not a vocal coach but I have taken vocal lessons.

Sorry if I sounded aggressive but I have a strong dislike towards negative comments that are not based on facts and merely opinions. Sure, it's not her best vocal performance, but that doesn't mean her vocals are declining. I mean like, the girl has been sick for both this and the SAP concert. Her Enigma show has way more intense choreography than JWT and BTW had loud background vocals. If anything, she's just sustaining her vocals.

A If you've noticed how deep Gaga's voice has gotten (intentionally to enrich her sound in the Jazz/Piano sho/unintentionally from cigs) then you should've also noticed that bc of this she has to take breathes slightly earlier, causing long notes getting snipped and runs getting adjusted. If this happened consistently throughout shows, I'd be concerned, but it isn't. The classics sound a little "weird" but the new richness in her jazz vocals is FIRE!

A2 You can hear many artists do this to save breath for the next notes -- you can see she HAD to end short bc there wouldn't be time to inhale enough AND meet Bradley at the appropriate beat. It's obvious why she'd sacrifice the run to make sure the ending landed perfectly

B The "aaahs" run broke at the Oscars cause she was pounding the keys so hard. It's more audible in that recording from the audience.

C I refuse to compare these perfs against each other bc I respect that they are different songs perf'd in different times ( = different mind spaces, different mood/energy/nerves and  voices naturally changing with time)

If this is true it's kind of sad... this is literally just a paycheck for her and she doesn't care about putting on a good show. Which is just sad to see how she's changed from an artist to just a product.
