E24187 615
Actually ARTPOP is her third LP. The Fame Monster was not an LP.
Fame 0
Azealia really isn't just some rapper though. She fuses rap/pop in way thats neither generic or tacky. She's also a sort of r&b vocalist. There's a lot of possibilities with her. Plus, shes an it girl. A collab could give gaga that 'cool factor'. Okay...will try her music. And besides nothing can be done now they have already collaborated. Lets see how come up with this collab.
CannaeDrive 3,412
Some of yall are being very reductive. I'm glad she's branching out of pop. It's retarded to limit yourself to one genre when you have crossover potential and talent. And we don't even know that this will be a rap song. It really shouldn't even matter if it's pop or not. If I'm not mistaken, the whole point behind ARTPOP was taking art and making it popular. That doesn't necessarily exclusively mean pop music though. Frankly, I'd be disappointed if this was an album full of disposable dancey songs. I'm here for Gaga spreading out. I'd love to hear her on urban radio. Didn't Gaga say something to the effect of "some of you will betray me" at the BTWB during Judas? If yall are upset over her not doing pop music, then you need to re-evaluate your fan status. I don't care what genre of music she makes as long as the song is high quality. That's a really good imitation of my own mind tbh :nacho: "Fame Is A Boomerang" - Maria Callas

VICKILEEKX 1
Everyone who isn't down for this obviously hasn't heard LIQUORICE or VAN VOGUE This. While all them basic b---hes want Nicki on their track, Gaga chose talent and vision ahead of popularity :nacho: I know Azealia is popular, I stan hard for her, but she has never really had a major hit song. 212 is a great single, but it hardly impacted radio or the charts. I trust that it isn't just an unnecessary feature, (Gimmie all ya luv boy. You can be ma boy, you can be ma boy toy.) otherwise she would have gone with a gaurenteed hit rapper. Azealia is a great lyricist. I love you. And @ the Gimme All Your Luvin Lyrics

MJ Holland 4
Gramophone - Lady Gaga ft. Azealia Banks The song features references to the grammys she has that peers do not, and how one of the people shading her is so old they think a gramophone is high tech. I want a complete shade-dem-b---hes song! Sounds amazing, tbh You're one creative biatch .
MJ Holland 4
She's fun, fierce, dance, rap, pop, the future :D This song is from her FANTASEA mixtape, you should download it!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1cr3biCzQY ... I actually enjoy this track right here, thanks for putting it up here ! Wish Azealia's vocals weren't "enhanced" so ai could hear what she's got but it fits the whole athmosphere of the track, so Hope these two b---hes slay ! MJ Holland 4
Azealia at the end of her rap. "There's only one queen and that's gaga. BITCH." YAS In a sort of fade out effect and echo effect with Gaga's sweet laugh as the period to Azealia's verse :exited2: That's the way I imagine it tbh. Nissa 51
I'd totally check her out if I were you! I have no idea if you like rap at all, but the beats/production of her music has been stellar in and of itself, and she really is knowledgeable about/invested in queer culture (she talks a lot about vogue/Harlem ball culture). She's really a pretty audacious talent. And on a side note, people can say what they want about Nicki (hell, even I think her pop music sucks hardcore), but she *is* a talented rapper. And I think it's awesome that two of the most promising emcees right now are women who also represent the lgbtq community. That's exciting and a huge step in the right direction for the hip hop/rap community. Oooh, I hadn't seen your response for some reason! I'm sorry! Well, I haven't listened to much rap (I'm really only vaguely familiar with Kanye, 50 Cent and Eminem and such) but I'm open to anything. And I agree, it's definitely a fantastic sign that two strong women supporting the LGBTQ community are on top in a domain that has always been traditionally male-dominated and filled to the brim with misogyny and homophobia that is/was almost expressed by rote in most rap songs. Thinking about this makes me happy even though I REALLY don't care for Nicki's music (going off of what little I've heard of it, I think I've only ever heard her doing pop) and don't know anything about Azealia's work yet. Anyway, you've convinced me to check her out today. She sounds really forward-thinking, cutting-edge, talented and unique. It's also great to hear that she's interested in ball culture, you don't see that every day! Thanks! :kisses:
MelbHawker 6,583
I don't know.. Im just.. is she really doing to have the Elton Collab on the album AND have another one with Azealia? Cuz you know the Elton one was confirmed and if that falls through I will end the world. Btw.. Ill never learn to spell this b---h's name properly. Who names their kid Azealia? That's what I was most shocked about, that there could be two collabs on ARTPOP. The Elton one better make it or else! It most likely will, though, but it's weird that there might be another collab (and one with Kendrick Lamar as well, although it's for his album). I do have this feeling that her work with Azealia Banks might be released separately or something, it's possible it won't make the cut for the album... I actually had a good feeling about this collab before listening to any of Azealia's tracks 'cause I remember how much people loved the Beyonce collab as a single. Hoping for another single with a cray cray video and public appeal, just so our Lady could take those other biaches' place in the #1 spot
