It depends on a lot of things from blending, proportions, if colours mesh with her skin tone or eye colour. My biggest critics for Sarah are that she’s never really that adventurous with makeup or colour in gaga’s looks she kinda follows the Kim k minimalist trend but doesn’t possess the finesse that mario has with Kim BUT she’s starting to get better at- and she has a tendancy to give Gaga patchy foundation when she wears it and sometimes puts on tinted moisturiser or foundation with SPF at evening which is a big no no for flash photography.

They're not trolls, they're brats giving their genuine, unironic opinion. Trolls say things they intentionally know will make you mad whether or not they actually believe them; these kids actually think they know how to do makeup better than professionals. So I think if the celebs they claim to "stan" (and the celebs' teams) openly condemn them, that might actually teach them a lesson to not be so mean and ridiculous.

Now this actually sounds like a valid criticism of makeup, and you put it in a respectful way too. Good post.

This look is ok but I have to admit all i can see on her face is these gigantic lashes. The little tear drops is covered by it also which is kinda sad cause its pretty cool. Unless u look closer u can appreciate the look. Im not even a make up expert but what would i do  with it is i will make sure every little thing of the make up will shine.

I am certain if some people could get their hands on all the photos of young Stefani wearing Abercrombie they would burn them in some sort of weird stan ceremony.

Thanks I’m a makeup lover and aspiring MUA so I love paying attention to Gaga’s makeup. I think sometimes people just jump on the hype train of hate, Sarah’s not a BAD makeup artist by any means but she even said it herself she went from working on a Mac counter to being an understudy for Gaga’s last 3 makeup artists very fast, doing her dancer’s makeup first, meaning she would’ve had less time to work with her since she would’ve been the last call if she needed someone to do her face for her. Since Billy B and Tara were her main-stays. In short she’s not as experienced as Billy B or Val Garland for example 

I do love that Sarah stripped down the amount of layering Gaga used to have in her makeup and gave her more natural beauty because Tara used to LAYER her up, which is a critique for Tara too.

I think all of the criticism burns my ass so much because it feels like part of the fandom saying “no she’s mine!”

Sorry that some of us are boring and “normies” but I needed Joanne singing about her girlfriends making everything better and wearing pink sweaters with cut off jean shorts.

I have loved Gaga since the beginning for the music, but shouldnt we all get a chance to relate to her if she’s willing?

Billy B is my favorite makeup artist of Gaga's by far. The way he carved out those eyebrows   Just shows the difference years of experience makes. Sarah and Tara are both talented but young, Billy's got the ancient eldritch wisdom tho. Do you know why Gaga and Billy B split?

Two things:

1. They only use Marc Jacobs makeup and some of the foundations aren’t my fave. 

2. Let’s remember that Gaga touches her face a lot..that adds more oils to her face and can break down makeup.

He said they split because Gaga wants to consistantlg refresh her look, same way she split with Tara for Sarah. No conflict or bitterness and he says he loves her and enjoyed working with her. So I hope maybe she’ll wanna go back to work with him again  at some point  although I doubt it because he isn’t as flexible schedule and travel wise  

Like he wasn’t able to tour with her at all especially outside the states because he likes to stay NY or LA based at all times. Hence why he mostly did photo shoots and videos with her that were shot in NY or LA.

Also props to Val Garland because she invented the BTW era makeup

You know raccoon eyeliner and a bare face aren't the only options?

 

Personally I just felt the "natural" look didn't work at all with the classic glamour of the intricate updo, opera gloves, ball gown and massive diamond. It just looked like she hadn't had her makeup finished yet, and was very ageing with the orange tan and white hair.

I don't think she is bad, but I don't think she is THAT good either, all she do is nude eyes (thanks marc jacobs) with an eyeliner tar curves to the browbone. It's cute but over done.
The thing is people miss Tara, she was THAT bitch PERIOD
