I found this sexy re-imaging of ARUTW in Spanish Bachata and it low-key sounds like a Despacito-level radio hit when produced this way. Holy f***.

:saladga: Furthering my belief this should have followed up Shallow as a radio-prompted single. Would have gone at least Top 5. This would have been her next TEOG-sized smash.

This is awesome BUT

I immediately turn against singers who release a cover and call it a remix. There's a huge difference and anyone who doesn't know the difference shouldn't be making music.

It's an electronic vocal cover. Pianists don't upload their piano covers of songs to YouTube and call them piano remixes.

A remix is literally a re-imagining of the song.

A pianist is literally just playing the song off of sheet music.

This completely re-imagines the song and even changes the lyrical content to fit the Spanish language and cadence at certain points.

Thats a remix boo.

The word Remix is made up of 2 parts: "re" which refers to do again, and "mix" which refers to the mixing process of the multiple tracks that make up a song (instruments tracks, vocal tacks, etc). So at its very core, remix means to take the actual original pieces of the song and mixing them in a different way.

Now, a cover, on the other hand can be either very similar to the original or take the liberty to reimagine the song, without the need to use any of its original "building blocks", so this definetly falls into that category. You might call it a "Reimagined cover" or an "Alternative cover", but calling it a Remix, is not technically correct.

Back to OT: I love this version of the song, but the lyric adaptation is not that great, an English one would slay tho.
