I just find it funny...

I just find it funny... when this girlĀ first came to the scene, everything in the music industry was different. Singers and artists had their own style until sheĀ appeared, and then... everything changed. Fashion changed, music changed. Fashion was playing an important role in the music industry now, and it was curious, howĀ her styleĀ was now more trendy. Same as the music, similar beats started to appear in the popular songs.

Artists began to be riskier again, something the popĀ music industry hasn't seen since the iconic Cher and Madonna. But the generalĀ music industry was different now, it was all about the impact. Crazy looks, risky videos, provocative songs... years later, the introduction to art in lyricsĀ and the artĀ references on the music videos. Then, it all started being more of the same, it was tiring, it was already more and more overusedĀ stuff.

Ā

Until it happened again. The change arrived in two parts.

Ā

Artists left that crazy past behind and became more... "laid down", moreĀ "normal". They started focusing more on their music quality more than in their scandal impact. And their style has notoriously changed all out of the sudden too!.

Don't know really if jazzy, but perhaps the classy style was now trending, and so the country music was back at its finestĀ momentĀ sometimeĀ later...Ā

Ā

I just find it funny... how this girl changed it all and keeps changing the perspective of the world for the gp, and people from the own industry itself. And I keep wondering, what's next? What is Gaga gonna do next? What plans does she have to hit the scene, change it all and inspire her fellasĀ once again?Ā :ally:Ā

Of course, not saying Gaga changed the whole thing by herself, but it's tremendously notorious how she inspired so many artists throughout her career. And people still dare to think she has no relevanceĀ :ally:Ā

Supply and demandĀ :classy:

Gaga and her team wear definitely A-Game businesspeople during those first few eras, and she's got that fire back again

Smother Em Eh

Gaga is one of a kind and untouchable in many ways. She had marketed herself very well, knows how to work the business, play the industry and has had a great team behind her!Ā

She’sĀ literally the last iconic and revolutionary pop artist. Atleast for another decade or so!Ā

I love my Motha Monsta:kara::triggered::hor:

agree on the first part, Gaga was one of the first big new stars, if not THE first new star known for her crazy artistic looks, and she definitely set the tone there.

However, the second part, about people wanting stars who are more laid back, "normal", closer to an everyday regular person definitely wasn't started by Gaga, far from it... it began sometime in 2011 with Adele andĀ  especially Ed Sheeran, who were addressing relatable themes and had really simple looks, laid back attitude etc. If anything, Gaga was a few years late with that, and when the trend was already established and running smoothly, she was still in the ARTPOP era, and it was probably one of the reasons why it didn't go as well as expected,Ā  a new trend and a new standard had already begun, and Gaga didn't really fit in it properly until Joanne, and especially ASIB.

Absolutely agree. 100% more accurate.

Ā

ASIB wasĀ not completely extraordinary, ā€œlet’s do the unexpected and set trendsā€ project. Gaga’s first career years were calculated artistic moves. Gaga’s latest career years were calculated public appeasing moves.
