Huh? Okay, I'm sick of people making everything a competition here and pitting women against one another and there is no way anyone will outsell Adele (she outsells Taylor and both Taylor and Adele outsell Bey by a lot). I have no idea why people think Interscope and Gaga's team (or any musician's team) would want to release in the same month as Adele (unless it's someone who has no chance at a #1).

But Gaga's opening week album #s are on par with Rihanna's, Gaga's albums have longevity on the sales charts, and ASIB was one of the best selling albums of the year. Every single one of Gaga's albums have opened at #1. Joanne, the album so many LM drag, had one of the strongest opening weeks sales of 2016. She's not a threat to Adele, Taylor, or Beyonce in sales numbers (and probably Ariana), but she's still a threat in terms of sales # to most musicians. Just because she's not selling a million copies opening week like BTW doesn't mean she's a flop.
