I thought the first half was okay, but a bit annoying.  However, the second half was amazing and so I was okay with having to sit through the annoying bits to get to the good stuff.

They completely destroyed Thor as a character in this movie though.  I absolutely hated it; it brought down my enjoyment of the film as a whole.  Me complaining about Thor was the first thing that came out of my mouth to my friend when the movie finished, and he agreed with me.

It's annoying the movie treated Ironman and captain america so respectfully and yet turned Thor into a giant joke for most of the movie.  And an unfunny joke at that.  It wasn't funny at all; it was awkward as hell...

Thor wasn’t a joke. He was representing what it is like for when you have depression or any other mental health disorder and how you can still be your own kind of hero. He was badass as fat Thor.

(both Ragnarok and Endgame spoilers) I can't wait until my mum finds out about

Spoiler

Thor. She preferred his long hair and hated when he had his eye cut out and had to wear the eye patch in Ragnarok. She's gonna be devastated when she sees him in this movie :toofunny:  :deadbanana:

But at least she gets his long hair back :teehee:

Do you feel him sir?

Having fat characters is fine, but every other character that interacted with him made him into a joke.  The entire reveal was a joke and every time he showed signs of being mentally unwell/ptsd-like symptoms, the other characters either ignored it or turned it into a joke, like when he started crying and Rocket made fun of him for it.

The audience was meant to laugh at him and his misfortune, and they sure did laugh at him, at least in the theater I was in.

He was still cool as hell in the battle scenes, but before that his scenes are cringy and hard to watch.

It was pretty sad because I really loved Thor in Ragnarok. He was very boring in the first few movies, and Hemsworth himself said he was bored of the character, so they switched it up in Ragnarok. Showing that Thor was more than just his hammer and long hair. It was really done well but I feel in Endgame, they backtracked to make Thor “recognizable”. It really disappointed me

You gotta complain about something I guess.

This ENTIRE thread is people's thoughts and opinions on a movie, whether they be positive or negative.  This is an entertainment forum and I'm sharing my opinion.  I already said the second half of the movie amazed me and I thoroughly enjoyed it;  there were just a couple of things that annoyed me early on.  It is literally not that deep, and it doesn't affect you in any way.  Blocked.

The Child

Well well it’s been a week since I’ve seen it and

Spoiler

hated the way they ended things with Captain America tbh, I cried so much when Tony Stark died, I hated how they ruined Thor as a character and he didn’t even interact with Loki but whatever. I loved the final battle!

And I at first didn’t care about Natasha’s death but then I got so angry they were sad like for 5 seconds and moved on, now to have an originy movie about her while knowing she dies in 2024 is just so anticlimactic.

I can see why you think that. But I think they balanced it being a joke and serious problem pretty well. Like, obviously it's meant to be funny, and he's a funny character so it's perfectly in character.

But Hemsworth also brings a lot of levity to it, and his whole arc in this movie basically revolves around his failures and subsequent giving up. There's certain conversations and actions that really touch on this, particularly with his mother and being 'worthy' of getting his hammer back.

So I watched it 2 days ago, the movie is really amazing, really touching your lil nerdy delicate heart, some scenes were the best scenes in the superheroes movies history, I just loved it and it was the best closure of a saga that we could get, however, there's no perfect movie, so I have a few complains lol

Spoiler

ok so BW and Ronin/Hawekey fought for SHIELD for years, fought against Hydra, knew the legend about Red Skull for years, but when they finally meet him, they don't even show any shocking face? any recognition, even a small one? it's your worst enemy as agents.. and not only that, Ronin/Hawekey didn't even tell Cap that he saw Red Skull.. :awkney:

Spoiler

Cap Marvel was kinda useless, she was there for like idk 3 minutes? the movie would be the same without her, she didn't even deserved to be in the poster.. what was her purpose for the plot? such a waste, my husband was angry lol because he came to see her, he likes character and he got a few lil scene with her..

Spoiler

They messed up all the time traveling idea in the movie, all they talked about at the beginning of the time traveling idea, with Cap's last time traveling... this one didn't make any sense.

Also WHAT ABOUT SHARON!??!?!

WHAT ABOUT PEGGY'S HUSBAND?!?!?!

Spoiler

Omg when everyone were at the same frame :bradley: when all the gurls were like LET'S SMASH THAT PURPLE DICHEAD :air:
I was totally not ready for Tony's death, I was hoping Thor will wake him up with the hammer like in the past..

So I wonder how the MCU is going to move on after Endgame, it looks like it's never gonna be the same, so like I wonder if I want to continue or to end the saga and end the MCU for me:bradley:

Spoiler

The time travel law in this movie are similiar to Dragon Ball's manga time travel law. Where you can do anything on alternate timeline but it won't be do harm on the main timeline.

So with Captain America, Peggy is still married to her husband and she is still dead on our timeline. But in alternate ones, she ended up  with Steve, way before Peggy meet who would be her husband in our timeline.

Saw the movie for the third time yesterday and here's some of my thoughts

Spoiler

For starters, i loved the film the first time around but by my third viewing i was sick of 3/4's of the film, mostly because of comedy and the convolution of time travel rules- yes we need comedy and what not but the comedy in the film was barely needed and not funny. It would've been nice for the film to have a serious edge to it given the circumstances. And when Cap decided to stay in the past that should have affected a lot more but whatever.

I still loved the A-Force hint during the final battle and loved how they did it, it's the first time in ages since probably Wonder Woman that we've had female characters be so well treat in a superhero movie- with male directors too shockingly. I still got chills the third time around when you hear Sam talking to Steve and then everyone portal-ing to the final standoff. It's the first time a superhero movie has managed to make a truly epic final battle feel as big as it is in the comics.

I feel like Bruce talking about Nat could be a hint she could come back, perhaps when he snapped she DID return but she probably would've reappeared on Vormir and maybe she could come back in Guardians of The Galaxy? Who knows. I do however feel like they could've played up Nat's death a bit more and made it more "sad", but as a Youtuber called Behind The Trailer pointed out, maybe it was overlooked as a reflection of how society treats female sacrifice as opposed to male sacrifice in general.

I loved that we finally got Wanda even if just for 10 minutes, being the badass we know she could be, i would've loved had they had someone kill Thanos without the Infinity Stones that I think Wanda should've been the one to kill him instead it would've been awesome.

All-in-all, I feel like it's set up for a lot of hype for the future phases, i can't wait for Phase 5 (i'm not too invested in what Phase 4 is gonna have other than Dr Strange 2) so they can FINALLY start introducing the Fantastic 4 and X-Men respectively.

So he was in the other timeline and then came back to our current timeline? but our timeline didn't have Cap, so all the MCU was without him?
And how does it works for the stones? is there a timeline without the stones, timeline with the stones? it's messy
DB time traveling was messy since the beginning :selena:
