They are the first to compromise. First to try and use identity and fear tactics to make you fear the Republican boogeyman so you ignore their total lack of commitment to the blue-collar people (and are for big monies interests that fund their campaigns) who are then forced to pick them because they’re not as bad as the other guy. Because they’re always trying to dismiss progressives who keep telling them that if they keep doing what they always do, they’re going to keep getting what they’ve always got.
