aaronyoji 2,007 Posted April 11, 2019 Share Posted April 11, 2019 i honestly feel like this is one of her best moments. she totally makes the song her own, which most people don't expect her to do so they end up being turned off by it. but this song has been covered so many times that she has an obligation to put her spin on it. and it worked! i sing it all the time. her tone is amazing, the ending is a bang, i wouldn't doubt if this was done in one take. I think, had she done it with more of a nod to the original version by The Animals, she would have been more successful. But Nina's torch take on Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood remains untouched.
