Less than a month after the attack against Muslims in New Zealand, New Zealand has already enacted gun laws against most semiautomatic weapons.

Meanwhile, look at the US. While we have many people campaigning for gun control, not much has yet to happen with the government.

Gun control does not work. The cities and states with the most restrictive gun laws still have terrible shootings on a daily basis. Criminals do not care about gun laws and will just buy them illegally if they are going to commit a crime. The only people that are affected by gun laws are law abiding citizens.  Shooters actively seek gun free zones because they know that they can kill more people without being gunned down themselves, making gun free zones less safe. Gun control would not end mass shootings.

This is such an American thing to say. Gun control does work, I’m from the UK and living in Australia. Both countries don’t have shootings like US because it’s harder to obtain guns.

This is a straight up lie. Numerous study’s have proven that stricter gun laws lead to less shootings. In both Scotland & the UK, the number of shootings & gun related deaths are at an all time low because of their gun laws, you really need to look at the evidence instead of trying to push lies.

if I knew how to insert the graphs from these links I would lmao. Where there are more guns there are more mass shootings & gun related deaths & stricter gun laws i.e. background checks & forced training courses have been proven to work as seen in other countries. Sadly America is filled with ignorant people who would rather believe fear mongering propaganda saying we’re trying to take their guns away instead of actually reading an article & you’ve proven this lmao

Criminals do not care about gun laws.  Fact

A majority of mass shootings occur in gun free zones.   Fact

The number of defensive gun uses are higher than the number of criminal firearm uses. Fact

Maybe there have been slight decreases in homicide rates in some states where they have implemented gun control, but these laws would not have stopped Sandy Hook, Parkland, Aurora, etc. These mass shooters can easily acquire guns illegally through the black market, guns that are smuggled across the border, or they could steal/take firearms from those that have purchased said weapons legally.

Gun control simply would not end mass shootings. There is an extreme amount of gun circulation within the US, legal and illegal, and the government cannot ban firearms due to the Second Amendment. Criminals will find a way to get a weapon and use it to commit whatever crime they so choose. The only people who listen to gun laws are law abiding citizens, who are not the ones who would be committing mass shootings.

Then explain why the US owns 42% of guns in the entire world and still have the most mass shootings? While countries which do have gun control, don’t have them as much? @Speechless111

Do you really need a source to tell you that criminals do not care about the law?

Daily wire is not a good source and I wasn't talking about that part

I was talking about the more shooting part in places with strict gunlaws

I live in a country with strict gunlaws and we never had a mass shooting

Last year there were some crazy kids who wanted to do a school shooting and you know what

The secret service caught them trying to buy guns illegaly so....

Shouldn’t the fact that we have more people armed result in less mass shooting because we can supposedly stop them? Why isn’t that happening already? @Speechless111

Schools , concerts, etc. are often gun free zones, so no, the people there cannot defend themselves. Criminals target the weak and they know that if they are in a gun free zone they most likely will not be prevented from committing mass murder.

It's crazy how people can just ignore facts and risk having kids die all in the name of the second amendment. Like, people really care more about keeping their guns than they do about the innocent lives being taken away on a daily basis. This feels like some sort of weird mass cult

Schools have securities already. I went to a school where there were plenty of guards walking around the school. It felt like the damn military. And you definitely don’t want others (besides) the securities to have weapons at a concert where people get drunk and high and fights happen. And you haven’t answered the question. We already are way more armed than other countries, why do we continue to have mass shootings while countries with gun control have less?
