We’ve only had so many things Italian in her music career, the Italian-American Eh, Eh visuals, the “I’m Italian” lyrics in Gypsy, Roman god references, and her sometimes infamous Italian Curls seem to stand out. What if she did a more Italian-esq album, that included ancient Italian sounds (like Marina’s Ancient Greek influence in To Be Human). Maybe some Italian lyrics? An Italian flag dress? Pasta hair? She has talked on and on about being “A traditional Italian from NYC” and blah blah blah blah blah, but she never has showcased it in her music. She’s talked about NYC but not about her heritage or anything. And I’m surprised she hasn’t. I think it would be neat if she did, but she doesn’t have to.
