She went off the radar for too long before releasing it and also she teased too soon.

If she's do it now, i wouldn't say it would be as bad as ARTPOP Era but it will definitely drive some people away

imo ARTPOP was her greatest era and one of the best records (even tho it was all messy) until her depression and the betrayal of her team took part into it.

the waiting for ARTPOP was such a fun time though.
