Hmmm I can’t say I was disappointed by what we got, that Jo Calderone performance was epic af

Maybe You and I wasn’t a groundbreaking choice but like, it was the You and I era, so expecting other song was a reach

It's highly dissapointing taking into account that the actual performance has no relation with the tematic of the promo video :madge:

I don’t think it was a reach considering the promo commercial and the otherwise messy BTW single era.

That sad, the actual performance we got was great. I was just disappointed that the commercial led to expectations that weren’t met. 😅

I think what happened was that Gaga saw the chance to give Heavy Metal Lover and Government Hooker visuals even tho they would never get a proper music video, and she took it :ladyhaha:

Agree but gotta remember that this was nearly 8 years ago right when I was still a GGD/ATRL lurker who was still learning the rolling effect in the radio threads. 🙊😂:cryga:

This got me HYPED so much that Jo perfomance left me underwhelmed xd

I remember during the born this way era being so hyped for different things and never getting any of them that it enabled me to take so many visuals and performances during that era for granted. because looking back in retrospect years later, she was so on top of her game with so many performances and serving visuals and dope looks. but back then i was so clouded by my own personal expectations that I just didn't truly see any of it, if that makes sense lol it took years for me to like re-watch old performances that i either had never seen or only saw once and i was like oh wow...this is amazing. even the marry the night video i remember hating so much when it came out, but in rewatching it recently it really wasn't even "bad", maybe it took seeing G.U.Y. the ARTPOP film to be able to appreciate it lol
