I was surprised he had a hit with Dua Lipa, since I thought he was basically over during the past four-five years. Not only because of his sound, but the rumors of him trying to snatch credit from other people seemed kind of validated with that messy ish with Taylor & I thought people might have had enough. Especially as a lot of the other electronic producers occasionally work together and he does not seem to run with those guys.... I didn't think he so much as trashed Gaga as just made up some petty BS lies to make himself look more desirable as a producer. He has made some great music over the years (Under Control is still one of my favorites), but pretty much all of his hits pre-2016 have a very early 2010’s style sound that isn’t successful anymore and doesn’t fit with today’s Top 40 music. It might be my personal taste creeping in but songs like "How Deep Is Your Love", "Outside", "I Need Your Love", "Under Control" etc. sound exactly like the year they were released in.
