Of course it was propaganda, but Cameron called for it because he thought it would make him stronger, and that was something a politician like him shouldn't fall for. It's true people could've voted if they were educated about the issue, but the majority believes everything you tell them, and it's impossible that way.

I think an extension would be best, followed by a general election in which voters can make a choice on which party they want to deliver Brexit, which would give the Government strong mandate (if they receive a majority). However, if it's another hung parliament we would be back at square one.

The petition is on a government run site, if they go against the petition, they're trampling their own system

If the campaigns were focussed on the issue they were supposed to be campaigning for (Brexit) instead of their own agenda, people would've been educated

Theresa May only started properly negotiating last year and the amount of time it has taken, and the implications it has had WITHOUT EVEN LEAVING means that people are turning on Brexit

I understand. May spent too much time trying to build her own power, but failed. I think a Government must be formed with a strong position and with the backing of Parliament to negotiate with the EU.

She has negotiated her deal, and not the deal that Parliament wanted. While leading a minority Government, it's a risky move. This explains why where in such a confused state at the moment.

It will be a hung parliament with Tories continuing to be the largest party. Corbyn knows that hence the hesitance for calling for another GE.

Propaganda is a tough thing to battle. It's not that easy.

Sorry, but people chose to leave. You should have been more informed back then.

 

As much as I don't want the UK to leave the EU, I don't think a second referendum and cancelling Brexit will be good for the UK. Brexit will damage the country terribly, but they will be able to rise again in ten years. While going back is a terrible step for such a big country as the UK. And that's obviously why politicians don't want the second referendum.

 

Leaving the EU with a deal could be perfectly fine, the parties are using a very serious matter to campaign for themselves and that is what is wrong right now.

I think the answer will be once again Yes for Brexit..

And actually, the EU is kinda wants UK out, UK was never really 100% into this union anyway, the were a lone wolf inside the union and also it's economically better for the rest of the EU countries if the UK leaves... since the Brexit announcement many companies started to ditch the UK and move to Germany/Italy/France and others for their European headquarters, etc.
