I rather would want Gaga to submit ASIB and LG6 in the same year for the Grammy's than LG6 having to compete against Adele. They can submit ASIB and LG6 in different categories. Also if Gaga would release after Grammy deadline this year, LG6 would have lost most of the momentum for Grammy's 2021.

Not a good idea , ever heard of split votes? If she’s going to submit herself in every category the voters will be tired of her lol

If LG6 is a hit she can definitely keep the momentum by pushing out singles and being in the public eye, ASIB is on track to being her best performing album in a while, and it’s her strongest AOTY contender since TFM.

but then again what do we know, and I’ll respect whatever decision they make cuz they know better than us lol it’s their job

Adele says that she's having a dance record next and I don't know how she's going to approach that and open with more than 2 million sales. Though, I shouldn't underestimate soccer moms. After all, we saw what they did for Perfect Illusion:vegas:

Omg I forgot to tell y’all that one of the morning hosts at a Seattle top 40 radio station said BTS stans are texting their request line nonstop demanding they play them and that one of them said “or we’ll slash your tires.” :air:

Nah. They can submit whatever they want, it's up to the committee to decide which one and in which category they will nominate. See Joanne (WDYTYG) and Shallow this year. I'm sure the album is coming way before the deadline.

That's not true, isn't it?

Shallow was clearly a Duo/Group song whereas Joanne was a Pop Solo song. Both A Star Is Born (album) and LG6 are clearly competing under Album of the Year.

And why have two of your albums compete against each other when you can have both nominations in two consecutive years?

I don't think so, ARUTW has been in the top 200 on the Spotify charts while INLA is nowhere to be seen. I think Billboard might have made a mistake. It was #38 last week, there's no way it fell out of the top 100

Iirc if a song has been charting for longer than 20 weeks and falls below #50 it automatically falls out of the hot 100 bc it’s been charting for so long

Looks like radio stations have a new base to worry about. Little soccer moms cancelled :huntyga:

And why make potential grammy nominations the determining factor for your release date?

There isn't even a guarantee that either album would win an award...

It wouldn't make sense for them to push an entire era back and make fans wait or miss out on Gaga's current hype just because of a possible grammy (that isn't even guaranteed).

Sorry Grammys are a big thing but I don't think they are so important to the point that a record label would make a release date entirely based on it, it makes no sense

It's a different story if it's just not ready or Gaga doesn't wanna release it yet... But I doubt the Grammys would be the reason

Obviously Grammys is not the sole determining factor, but it's something to consider.

She can still release music before the deadline, perhaps one or two official singles. Born This Way's lead til its album release lasted from February to May, that's more than three months, and Applause to ARTPOP lasted around three months as well. If she drops the album in October or November, the lead and second singles could still come around July, which isn't too long to wait.

It's just the way that u said it, it made it sound like it was preposterous or a bad idea to release in a time frame where she couldn't compete for Grammys in both years like that was the big thing that should determine release dates

ASIB is very likely to snatch a Grammy nom but it won't win.. It's not from Grammy darlings Tay/Adele/Bruno and it's also not a statement/political album..

ASIB Era already gathered a lot of awards.. as a chartster, i rather have em strike while the iron is hot than postpone for the sake of another awards for ASIB.. :saladga:

Edit: btw i meant GF Wins here :ally:
