GagaStan95 10,478
Wow, Million Reasons certified 3x platinum for selling 150K copies sold so far. Do you remember when I used to track spins because Italy was the only one stanning this song along Swiss? It looks like yesterday. Plus this is the most selling Gaga song in Italy (Shallow is coming for it tho) and I think it’s one of the most selling song by an international SOLO woman. Most fans loved it and its singles Were you there during that time? That.. Isn't true at all. The people who check C2C are different than ARTPOP, and she gained from different audiences. They are entirely different, like C2C wasn't marketed as a follow-up to ARTPOP - it's a Jazz album with Tony Bennett. That's all she's been doing these past few years, along with Joanne and all the huge event opportunities like the Super Bowl, or A Star Is Born. Re-building for a moment like this, getting tons on board, to drop a bigger project. Gaga is always going to have a core group of fans that stick with her throughout releases. Joanne did quite well, actually. A sound change is going to warrant a fluctuation. Statistically if you compare 2016 to 2013 there was a 50% sales drop, and Joanne did quite well considering. She's only gained since ARTPOP.

BuzzcutSeason 3,307
Katy and Gaga are peers of each other in every sense of the word. Now they're on different plains, but the comparison is warranted. Gaga suffered from overexposure with ARTPOP, Katy just faded. That's where their "flopping" differs. Like, does Katy have something to come back from? Not really. It's just because of how pop got pushed out of the mainstream for a bit, and the stars who took off when she wrapped up Prism. Ariana, Selena, Demi, Halsey etc. became bigger on radio and streaming.
