BILLBOARD 200: DECADE TOP ALBUM ARTISTS 2010S

Based on the Billboard 200 charts from the issue dated December 5, 2009 up to the issue dated June 1, 2019.

The first 262 charts were based on pure sales, with the final chart dated December 6, 2014.

The next 235 charts were based on sales + track equivalent albums (TEA) + streaming equivalent albums (SEA), known as SPS (sales plus streaming).

Only charted sales/SPS are counted on this list.

I actually think Starstruck should have been the third single. Flo Rida was hot back then, it would have been a surefire #1. Isn't it like Gold even though it's just an album track? I also feel like Bad Romance killed Paparazzi's chart run which could have climbed in the top 5 for sure.

Releasing Bad Romance so early was a big mistake cause first of all they killed Paparazzi, they spilt its run into 2 decades and also it had to go against Tik Tok :bradley: It should've been released in 2010.

It’s actually eligible for platinum with streaming since it has sold 800k+ pure

How come I Like It was certified in more countries and made it to twice as many year-end charts than Starships despite people alleging that Starships was more global? :bradley:

I don't get this rap/pop argument.
Obviously, Starships and Superbass are pop songs, but it doesn't change the fact that they are MILES bigger.
They were huge hits in Europe.
Cardi B is basically N/A there.

Only Starships was a huge hit in Europe, Super Bass FLOPPED hard. These are the only countries in charted in WW not counting the Anglosphere (US, UK, Canada, Australia & New Zealand) :

Super Bass AKA the "global" smash hit outside the Anglosphere :

#42 Austria

#43 Sweden

#58 Switzerland

#82 Netherlands

#89 Japan

#3 Belgium (Bubbling Under Chart)

Also, I Like It was a pretty big  hit in Europe so no way she is "N/A" there

#1 Greece
#4 Romania
#7 Portugal
#7 Slovakia
#8 Switzerland
#8 UK
#10 Spain
#10 Sweden
#10 Ireland
#12 Hungary
#13 Scotland
#14 Germany
#14 Austria
#16 Denmark
#19 Belgium
#19 France
#20 Norway
#20 Netherlands

I left out some small countries where Starships outpeaked, lol. If anything I helped Cardi's case.
