I came to the conclusion that she was kinda local? when I listen to ''old artists'' I can easily recognize their hits, for example, I can recognize most of Madonna, MJ, and Whitney's hits and I'm not even their fan. I'm sooo bored so here's a list of song I recognized from each of her albums: Spoiler Mariah Carey: 0 songs Emotions: Emotions (because of drag race) Music Box: 0 DayDream: 0 Butterfly: 0 Rainbow: 0 Chambracelet: 0 The Emancipation Of Mimi: We Belong Together and Shake It Off E=MC2: Touch My Body, and Bye Bye lol I think people have been using this song as a meme on Twitter. Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel: obsessed 1 1 I can't believe that she has like 18 #1's and yet I only recognized 6 songs(one because of drag race and the other one because its a meme) edit: I thought that her Xmas album was full of covers but it turned out that they're original songs I guess I know 8 songs, not 6 EDIT OF THE EDIT: people are saying that AIWFC is a cover it says on Wikipedia that Mariah wrote it, I'm so confused Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I usually remember old hits and the ones who released them. From Mariah I only know All I Want For Christmas, Emotions, We Belong Together and Touch My Body. This is so strange, I guess the reason why she's irrelevant outside the US is because she's an R&B artist. R.
