Madge NEVER called "Born this way" reductive. She called the comparisons reductive but the media edited it to cause a controversy for more views... And on the tour she wasn't mocking it....she was making fun of the comparisons and standing up against it...saying "She's not me" and it is for a fact, Gaga and Madonna will never be the same. Two completely different icons. And the backdrop of small monster like creatures being fed canned, processed food? If those fans were spreading negative comments about Madonna I doubt if she would have had the same reaction and not even bothered to say anything. As far as GAGA and this whole issue is concerned, the more she involves herself with her fans & nit picks everything that her fans are doing or saying....many are going to start to abandon her! It's only going to hurt her greatly, in the end. Tons of fans have already walked out on GAGA after BTW, but that's their bad. BUT this time around I feel like GAGA is going to be partly responsible, if a lot of fans abandon her. Her intentions are pure but her actions are drenched in contradiction. I do not respect that. Practice what you preach, Gaga. If you are so keen on "promoting online kindness" then you had NO RIGHT to upload the Dope cover picture randomly, 10 mins after Miley uploaded a similar picture. Where were you when your fans ripping Miley apart for wearing the teeth you wore already? When everyone was attacking Miley? Why didn't you come out to defend her? GAGA, you know very well you shaded Miley...THAT was uncalled for. If we are all going to "Promote Online Kindness"....then let us first make sure, we are all on the same page. Smh! Up very close to the Katy picture was one comparing Madonna's look last night to the Quaker Oats guy and it was the "Old Fashioned" kind. something like that idk. But Gaga didn't say anything to them. But Madonna has been incredibly rude toward Gaga. Gaga looked up to her and was disappointed that her idol treated her so poorly. Katy is a different story as she has been nothing but kind toward Gaga and the fans should not make jokes at the expense of another artist, especially one that supports Gaga. That makes no sense at all. I still don't think Gaga was wrong at all for saying that. I'm glad she did. But Madonna has specifically attacked Gaga and her work- she chose to become an enemy of Gaga and her fans. Katy hasn't done anything comparable, yet Gaga fans often treat her like an enemy just because they're both female pop singers whose songs/albums compete on the charts. Gaga doesn't want her work to be judged as a competition for sales, she wants it to be judged as art. This is all consistent with that goal. Madonna started it with Gaga and carried it into her tour. The Katy hate is out of pure SPITE at her success. Gaga was hated by similar stans for her success too, even though she was as nice as pie. Nothing worse than having fake gagas, not to mention the shade towards Katy (even on here) is way too much and is unnecessary. It was. I saw it before the whole thing was deleted, and I checked. I don't see the problem with this, AT all. It's her site. She wants HER site to be free from negativity, which isn't exactly news. And, ya know... it was mean. Maybe not that serious, but it certainly wasn't nice. Humor doesn't have to come at other people's expense.
