Yes, but still, Gaga acknowledged her mistake, better late than never.

Yeah, I agree. Although officially switching it with the Christina version would've been better, I think.

I find it ridiculous, becouse delating a song from streaming services doesn't fix a thing. It's only a song, it doesn't have anything to do with the sexual abuse cases committed.

streaming funded his abuse didn’t it

I'm so happy she removed the song. It proves that she has integrity, not that she is unprofessional. She is no longer going to profit from working with a rapist. She took responsibility for a very poor decision and consequentially had to say goodbye to one of the best songs in her discography.

R. Kelly needs to take several seats and keep his mouth shut. She has every right to do that considering that it is her song.

I downloaded the Solo version and putted it on my ARTPOP album on my Apple Music :) U can do that with the Christina song too if you change the song's "settings"

People were coming with their pitchforks to take Gaga down for being associated with him.

She also explained how she wasn't in the right frame of mind when she wrote the song.

She did the right thing by removing it.

I kept replaying and giggling at the "I'm fighting for my life" part

The amount of lives he's ruined, I couldn't give a damn if he gets sentenced, it's what she deserves.mp3

I'm glad Gaga fully acknowledged her wrong-doing. She didn't try to make excuses by saying "well he wasn't convicted in court..." even though it was well-known as far back as 2008 that R Kelly was guilty but got off on a technicality. (There was another sex tape used in court at the time)

Gaga better not work with Terry Richardson again. He's another person I still am ashamed she promoted and worked so much with. It's only a matter of time before his #MeToo moment. He may not be high-profile enough for the media to care though...

Gaga's intelligence falls short, but there are recordings of you having sex with minors. Uh-huh. :usrs:

Ratings! That's the only thing these media people care about!

R Kelly is still credited as a writer in that version and still can get paid by the streaming services

@ people saying how they love gaga has integrity by deleting a song that she wasn't in the right frame when she was writing it. what exact integrity does this show? its HER song. she can just remove him and replace it with the solo one. this isn't any kind of integrity, this was done solely for her oscar-whichever-other-award campaign because stan twitter (a.k.a. the toilet of the internet which she calls it, but still quite frankly goes by the rules of it) was going mad.

and no, i don't support r. kelly or care in the slightest about him, i'm talking about gaga herself. but since she's not really fully in control and still has a management behind her, i guess writing a song like dwuw nowadays can seem pretty... offensive :ally:

Of course he's going to question the woman's intelligence, why wouldn't he?
