The Enigmatic 3,697
So Last Friday , there was supposed to be a new revolution in Egypt , but it failed cause they arrested most of people there and knew the meeting points and arrested people Today , Malak Al Kashif a transgender woman joining " Malak " and " Mahmoud" and it's expected that all of them join together on the background of the case 1739 year 2018. In reality , most of the people arrested are from Gen Z , whose ages were 11 and 12 during the last Revolution (25 January 2011) , and they express their feelings towards their love to January 2011 Revolution and the Tahrir Square protests and those vibes that they saw , but through social media This generation is different from any generation in Egypt , this generation woke up through Facebook and YouTube , and famous religious men couldn't have time to change their way of thinking . This generation was more open and more secularist . Most of the people in that case are agnostics , and they have 3 transgenders from LGBTQ+ The last train accident (happened last week and I made a thread about it) , their hormones moved and posted invites to protest 1 March 2019 , and we are coming back to the Tahrir Square , and Angry Friday 2.0 . Something like our childhood 8 years old In reality , those young people have the political solutions locked and closed , and they have a big youthful energy that could make a political party or something similar, but closing that way , made them feel politically dysfunctional , and the only way to let what is inside was through facebook posts The national security last years , literally could've broken up terrorist groups but to arrest youth like this and go to jail full of terrorists and ISIS members , then we are creating a field to polarize the young and change their mindset THE REAL PROBLEM IS , Transgenders position like " Malak " whose name on her ID " Malek " (her name before transitioning) , or "Hossam" , whose name on the ID "Hadeer" (his name before transitioning) , under laws that don't recognize trans people , how would they deal with them , like Malak would they take her to Male-only jail , or Women's jail . And in both cases she certainly would be harrassed , bullied and sexually harassed . The same thing for "Hossam" will he go to male's jail , and certainly he would be raped there Most of those people are school students , and their future is gone . Egyptian government isn't taking their thoughts and put it into consideration ... Instead they jail them up , and lock their future , in becoming in real jobs ! derpmonster 22,412
Do you have a news source? Did you write this or is this translated from something? This is really sad. The community cannot be stopped, I know. Efforts like these are met with so much resistance and it sucks. I really hope something changes through international action.
