RPDR: Show in decline?

Totally. After S9 it went down, S6 and AS2 were the last good ones, S7/8/9 were decent and somehow memorable. S10, AS3/4 went down, I used to be a hardcore fan of the show, you can ask me anything from S9 and below I would be able to answer. But S11 just premiered, and I haven’t seen the episode, neither do I know half of the queens names, S10 was the breaking point, they are milking the show and it’s not cute anymore.

First episode of season 11 just proved the video's point tbh; celebrity guest judge making a surprise ruveal like girl it's already the third time you did that :neyde: and the whole episode was... meh? They probably need to take a break because viewers are already having burnout from one season right after another.

Honestly I wished they stopped casting popular queens or “instagram” queens. They are all the same and makes the show boring to me.

Honestly, after AS2, it got really ridiculous. I havent even finished a season since because it's so bad.

I watched a few episodes of the one Gaga was in, and then couldnt bring myself to finish that season.

It also seems that it becoming even more "mainstream," has hurt it. I feel like things have been compromised because it's on VH1 now? Anyone else feel that way?

Anyway, I've been a huge fan since season 2, (I just cant seem to find season 1 lol) but I havent been interested in a hot minute.

They’re having a real hard time now pushing narratives. The only interesting debate/narrative discussed in Season 10 dealt with the Vixen. Once she left, the season became even more “blah” than it already was. If you go back to the narratives pushed in seasons 3-6, they were memorable and much of the audience cared.

Also, for me, the real nail in the coffin was actually the fact that the winner is now chosen via a lip sync battle rather than performance on the season. For example, I like Sasha, but the fact that neither Shea nor Trinity won Season 9 was kind of a joke imo.

There's just too much of it and too often. Nobody need All Stars season every year.Wspecially with abysmal line up.  Not to mention spin off shows like Drag Race Thailand and soon, UK, too. Over expose ain't never good.

Honestly, I haven't watched much of Drag Race other than Season 4, the first 4 episodes of All Stars 2, and a few episodes of Season 9. Other than that, Reality TV is not my thing, never was.

I think the show just needs to take a break for a bit. The challenges have been getting more and more ridiculous, plotlines are becoming more predictable, it just lacks the soul it once had

Trinity

Sasha had a better track record, and I feel like she really proved herself a deserving winner.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

I think the best season out of them all was All Stars 3. That had some hilarious moments.

I'm all for the representation and a queer show on mainstream tv but I'm not for how their putting out seasons straight after another. I've not even watched the first ep of S11 yet (which is rare for me) but I just hope the final isn't a lip sync showdown because its literally everyone just trying to outdo one another with a reveal.

AS should be every 2 years and premiere around September, and the main show should premiere around March. As much as I like the show I just want a break in between seasons to at least get hyped.
