Monsterious 26,867
How Warner Bros secured the Oscar for Shallow : 1. The AAAHAHAAOAAAA in the trailler got everybody talking about that sequence, which generated a huge amount of memes all over the web 2. The early release of Shallow before the movie drop, strong flex to generate some headlines 3. After they announced that they will submitt I'll never love again - Always Remember Us This Way - Shallow for Best Original song, we kinda freaked out about te vote split, so they took ZERO risk and removed the 2 other songs because obviously one of them would have been nominated alongside Shallow and could potentially cannibalize its votes. 4. The ENIGMA performance with Bradley generated HUGE buzz and guess what ? it was just before the voting for Best Original Song opens, i wonder if its Gaga or her team but it was on point After winning the Golden Globe, Critics Choice, x2 GRAMMY & 28 other awards, the final touch to Shallow's incredible lifetime could come tomorrow, the #1 Billboard Hot 100 would be the cherry on the cake. Miel 15,009
I also never really considered how much impact the ENIGMA performance actually had. Like, I know it got to the white suburban moms of America, but to think it actually played a factor in the Oscar voting is both unbelievable yet also potentially a very smart and pragmatic (intentional or not) strategy. 3 points in and ready for more

moonsago 7,285
Just like how the moment was magically perfect when Bad Romance came out, the same happened this time around, everything was just PERFECT ( except radio but f them ), she’s on top again, I always had faith she would be, I knew she would do it again
Shipper 13,077
Don't forget Warner Bro's campaign of actually putting up an ALLY billboard in LA where many Oscar voters/ Celebs undoubtedly live. They also sent Oscar voters fancy A Star Is Born notebook and pens with a "for your consideration" letter in it! And do we have to mention the amount of ads ASIB have in local TV before and during the movie screening period? WB needs to handle LG6 promo. 🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶

Widows Kiss 7,818
I'm sure the BradGa rumours helped immensely. Also, did Warner or Interscope manage this era?
