Consequence of Sound: The Top 100 Greatest Tours of All Time

98. Lady Gaga - Born This Way Ball (2012-13)

Billed as an “electro-metal pop-opera” with openers like Zedd and The Darkness tacked on, Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Ball was set to be a spectacle even before she hit the road. By embracing ‘80s camp, the self-love themes of the record, and tour-specific Versace outfits, Gaga used innovative stage installations like a medieval castle and a puppeteered horse to create a world all her own through which to relay her music. More than anything else, it was a tour marked by a rigorous routine full of strenuous dance movements -- moves so intense that she developed a break and labral tear of her right hip come the end, as if we couldn't already tell Gaga gives performances her all. – Nina Corcoran

The top 5:

01. The Beatles - 1965 US Tour (1965)
02. Michael Jackson - Bad World Tour (1987-89)
03. Grateful Dead - Spring 1977 (1977)
04. Madonna - Who’s That Girl World Tour (1987)
05. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - First UK Tour (1967)

Well I didn't look at the whole list but perhaps they only include one per artist. Because lets be real, Bey and Madonna should have multiple entries too.

BTWB completely deserves a spot, but... Confessions WT, Drowned world WT.... not only speaking as a die-hard madgeonna fan, but these 2 should be included even if you despise her :emma:

1989 tour but not reputation tour, when the reputation tour was a clear step up? ok...

Also is there some law that you can't not put the beatles on top of every list or else you get sued???

It's almost impossible to rank tours.

How can we compare tours from the '60s to now when there is new technology, production standards, etc? Everything has changed.

If you click on the 2 writer names, the dude is 30. The girl's age isn't shown but her pic looks like 30/40. Basically these people were not even alive for half of this list. Not sure how they came up with it then.

Just saying: the 1989 world tour was honestly a piece of **** :neyde: It should not be on the list at all, never mind above the BTWB. Reputation should be there
